good old time waster
so i started playing this game at around midnight on account of one of my friends posted the link to it and the next i know i've somehow lost a whole four hours of my life. addictive! thank you for this excellent piece of flash goodness. :)
it was great
i completed the game and i it was awsome 10/10 5/5
It's nice, but it drags.
I like the concept of this game since I'm an avid Simulation-game player. I like the time management aspect thrown into the Zombie survival horror genre. However, as much as I like games like that, I can't say that this game was an enjoyable experience.
If I were one who would just do the minimum requirements to move onto the next day in the storyline, then I would miss out on a lot of the different reactions and achievements. Since I also like the aspect of gaining achievements for unlocking secrets or reaching certain criteria beyond the storyline requirements, I find that they take a bit longer to achieve...even if you're only aiming for 1. It's not that I'm not willing to go the extra step to achieving them, no. It's that it takes a while to get the materials needed to get to those extra steps.
When you do research on your specimen and you see the types of items that relate to how that specimen was when they're alive, I find it a bit sad that you don't get access to those materials till day 6 or 7.
It's a bit unfair considering that you're given that information on the specimen on day 1. If you were to close the gap on the time where you gain more information and when you acquire the materials respective of that information, then the game experience would flow better in terms of time usage.
I also found the learning curve and the actual instructions to play the game uneven. They don't match up to the player's experience.
I understand that this method was used for the story since this is a lab and this guy is researching more and more materials. So it's an imperative that the reactions correspond to when new techniques and materials are used. However you still have that percentage system that is revealed to us when the game starts and we're exposed to the ability to upgrade items before we're event introduced on how to do it. This throws the timing and flow of the gameplay off for me. I think it would be better if we're able to upgrade items after we're instructed on how and not before.
Save feature is a must.
I was saddened to come back to the game and find that I had to start over again. If you can do an auto-save, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'm not like others who are able to find themselves sitting here for hours wrangling achievements and beat the game. I like to take my time with the experience. So coming back to my saved progress would be a nice step instead of having to retread through newbie stages again.
The art isn't bad...though you gotta work on the front perspective of those feet. lol They sort of look like someone ran over their foot with a truck.
Other than that, I really do like this game. It definitely can do with improvements in terms of flow and tightening particular information/material/upgrade aspects more closely.
dude this is truly a master piece u make awesome games i love ur art but u should make a zombie shooter if not its just a suggestion but it would be cool to play with ur artful skill so 10 stars for u :D
