Very nice game with a its own touch of physics, world and setting. I just thought "hey i'd like to play Knytt again sometime" when loading this and it was kinda funny how close this game comes to knytt.
However, comparing this to "Knytt" there are a few things this game still lacks:
- a small storyline (maybe told by other npcs)
- some "life" on this planet i.e. animals, plants, etc.
- powerups (the game gets rather boring with just "jumping" around)
- more diversity regarding optics (played halfway through the game and got a little bored)
- this game has good music but should use more ambient sounds
Hope this advice helps. Keep the good work up. :D
good, not great
Nice and simple. worked well but it just didnt grab me. i played around 20 mins but i wont be playin again
okay game, I guess
Nice platformer. It would be nice to have some sort of plot or given objective, though. In the starting point you can go to three(?) directions and the only instructions given are the controls(and even then you're assuming that the player either reads your post or figures them in his own). The objective is to collect those... gems? Gems, right.
I played for about fifteen minutes. The graphics are decent, the physics engine seems to work well(although sometimes the jumps were smaller than intended, not sure if it was my fault or yours). The overall challenge seemed on the easy side, which suits me just fine, although I think it'll probably get boring for some people(the hard mode was invented for a reason). Overall well made. The lack of objective felt a little weird at first, but it's kind of relaxing. Not sure what to make of it. At least it made me think, which is a positive.
This is probably one of the most intriguing game I have ever played, next to Braid. The longer I was in, the more the fabric of reality tore around me. I actually felt a sense of fear erupt in me, and yet I continued to dig further.
My only question is this: What are the gems? Fuel? Some sort of drug? A type of nutrient?
Really good to play when you've got time to kill.
