Yeah, but 'More Romantic Than VIII' isn't a good tagline :P.

More romantic then a bucket of fried turkey and a stack of porn magazines?

He lit sticks of dynamite with his cigarette! That is just way bad ass!

It's official: FF VII Cid = teh awesomest Cid of all

I also think it's one of the only FFs where Cid isn't an airship mechanic, instead he works on on a rocket, a rocket for gods sake! That's like...a rocket!...yeah...I don't really have anything awsome to say about rockets except the obvious.

Otherwise there would have never been a fleet of airshps(all designed by Cid himself), no assault on Midgar in Dirge of Cerberus, the WRO would be severely lacking in military might, and Cid would be out of a job since airships seem to be all he does after VII ends.

It's been years since I played the game, cut me some slack man >.< but you don't meet him as an airship mechanic like in most FFs, even in the IX where he got turned into a frog loke greature called oglop by his pissed off wife...it sounds so strange when you think of it.

Bah...I should play FF VII again, my knowledge of the story has really decreased dramatically in the years...

Alot of shit about Cid Highwind

Nice sum up there Xtesh, thats pretty much Cid in a nutshell. But the woman he lived with was called Shera in the European version, not Sierra. Later in AC he named his new air ship Sierra. And did he marry her? I don´t recall that, but it´s pretty possible.

After that, it's anyone's call until the next game/movie/OVA/book.

Well, maybe he´ll make some mini Cids that will be cursing as soon as they can speak and smoking at the age of 9 XD.
Its about time he did have a baby - he´s getting old.

I thought there'd be a save point on the original one. Just not on the DS version. The fact that you cannot save anywhere other than on the world map is stupid. Going through a dungeon and dying against a boss is the worst part about it.

Ultima-disk 3- go to the most southwestern part of the map by airship till you see a landing point, hes in there with Bahumat.

Lol, you must have had your color or contrast settings messed up cos i always saw him as blonde.

And ok Sierra/ Shera is just like the Aerith/Aeris case. Damn translations and stuff!

Pretty sure that took the longest for me, yeah.

And having to replenish my power/mana/speed spheres is very fucking annoying.

That's not too bad all-in-all though. Three battles with Fafnir or Kottos and you've got 99 (Assuming you Overkill)

Can you max everything bar MP?

You cna max everything and either HP or MP. The choice is yours.

The Don Tonberry trick is good :(. I wish I'd implimented it earlier in my stat maxing quest. I would've been done by now.

However, only Lulu and Kimahri left :). Then I can start on Luck (I've left it till last - and I'm not bothering with HP at the moment, I feel the game will be more challenging with only 9,999).

Spira, by far. All bow before the Spiral Of Death, the tragic beauty of Zanarkand, and know that the Farplane awaits no man, Al Bhed, Ronso, Guado, or Aeon.
Praise be to Yevon.

Gaia, of both FFVIII and FFIX, are close seconds.

It was classic.

Dr. Cidofolous: "The reins of history back in the hands of Man."
The more I think about FFXII, the more I love the underlying lessons, values, and story within the base war of Archadia vs. Rozzaria.

See? You are moving fast. I doubt the game will be too difficult anyway. WHat do you have left to do in the game, anyway?

And do you plan to max Aeon stats as well?

I know I need to level if I want to have a chance against Dr. Cid and Venat, but I'm low on items and I'm too lazy to run through the whole area for the third time.

Wait, what are you asking?
Just train before fighting the two bosses at the top of the Pharos, I guess. If I recall, there are many a returning monsters on one level, and they aren't THAT hard.

What is the level you are usually at when you beat a SE game(this includes the games made before they merged)?
I'm usually in my mid 50's, except for FF1, which I'm at level 89 with everyone.

Roughly the 70s and 80s, the only exception being FFXII, where I was roughly mid-50s to 60s. The main game of FFXII is soooo easy. It's starts off a bit tricky with Firemane, and those Demonwall optionals, but all-in-all, there are simple fights throughout.

Dunno... a lot I suppose.
But once I've finished the stats I'm going to defeat the monster arena and the dark aeons, then finish the game.
I'm not continuing with anything else after that. But I'm gonna to make a save to come back to at a later date. I'm sick of stat maxing at the moment :P.

I havn´t read any other books, so i can´t say any that remind me of FF. I´m not a bg reader.
As for narnia and LoTR - i´ve only seen the movies, not the books.

And i agree. Cecil is a bit of a girly name. It´s not macho enough for a main character. And i´ve always pronounced it Seh-Sil. Whoever says See-Sil is just wierd. o_o

As for Bahamut, to me it´s always been Ba-Hu-Mut, not Moot. Like you all say, fuck the moot. To me it will alwasy be mut.
They always dissapoint me when it comes to pronounciations on wierd names. E.G Yuffie, bahamut, Ivalice etc...
I always said Ivalice like Eye-va-lice, but in FF12, they pronounce it Ee-va-leece, fuck that, it´s Eyevalice to me, and has been since FFT in ´97.
