So for the last couple of weeks my connection has been fine with the game. untill say 2 weeks ago when it decided to kick me out for connection issues. I don't know what to do because everything else works fine BUT THIS GAME. I really want some help getting this fixed, I switched from wireless to ethernet cord for lag at the start of 2010 and everythings been great. So someone please tell me what to do to fix this I love Red Dead.

I should be getting me a new wireless adapter soon enough and then will have to renew my live subscription and then will be up and off the ground with all that fun shit again. So hope to see yall on there.

Has anybody got the new Xbox 360 slim, or have any thoughts on it? I'm thinking of maybe getting myself one for my birthday this year, but I don't know if it's really worth it or not. I originally wanted the 360 Elite, which I still might get if it turns out that the extra £50 that I'd have to spend to get a 360 slim really isn't worth it.

Thoughts / opinions welcome. Guide my hand. ;P

My elite has been loyal to me so far. No problems what so ever.

You'd be fine just going for the elite, but the new Xbox has built in wireless.

Yeah, if you're going to be playing wireless, you should check out how much a wireless adaptor you would use with the Elite would cost. The new 'Slim' is also Kinect-ready, if you're picking that up.

I'm not too bothered about wireless TBH, but Kinect is something that I'm reasonably interested in. At the moment it seems like the Slim is the way to go, but we'll see. Hopefully you'll see me joining this club in a couple of months :)

I finally have a steady connection to Xbox Live and three months of a gold membership, but I can't play Xbox Live. My brother was the one who set up the connection and redeemed the code and Xbox Live won't let my Gamertag play online. Every time I try it says, "Your profile does not have permission to play online" or something like that. I went to Xbox Live Family Settings and set everything to allow but it didn't change anything. Do you guys know how to fix this?

You don't pay to subscribe your Xbox to online, you pay to register your gamercard for online activity, which allows it to access Gold on any Xbox. If your brother punched the code in for another gamercard, then he has activated Xbox live for that gamercard, and not yours.

It was only a matter of time before this.

I watched a couple DVDs on my Xbox last night, and every time I hit stop and went back to the dashboard, the fans seemed to go crazy. They just kept getting faster and faster to a point where I had to shit the console off because they were sounding too violent.

Latest Mass Effect 2 DLC is amazing.

The bickering between Shepard and Liara during the car chase, and during combat, is hilarious. I especially loved the joke about omnigel from the first game.

Also, the Shadow Broker's dossiers on your crew are perfect. You can check Grunt's extranet search history, and find out that he can't spell, and that he likes dinosaurs and sharks, or see Legion's online gaming stats, where he plays MMOs and FPS games (as a sniper, obviously) under the username "Infiltrat0rN7".

So I understand the dedication and love of the console (I used to be a really bad fanboy troll) but I gotta say I am looking at getting a PS3. I REAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY want twisted metal.

Hell just started playing Call of Juarez:Bound in Blood and seems like a pretty fun game at the current moment that i am at in the game. And also got my live account back up and running just haven't been able to do a whole lot considering that i am having to deal with just a silver account until the first probably :(.

it dun goofd, i turned it on two days ago, and tried playing oblivion, and the disc wouldnt read, tried it again, and it wouldnt read, cleaned it, it wouldnt read,

so i tried another disc... then another..... then another..... and none of them worked, it just says "open tray when i put them in.

i waited a day, tried again, got the same problem.

i checked Xbox.com, i tried everything the repair tips said, and none of it works, and it says to send it in... but i have no warranty, and its one hundred fucking dollars, and i dont wanna pay that, when halo reach is in like 4 days, and especially since i have no money, and my parents say there's not enough money to fix it.

so i ask this of you great newgrounders, would you please help my Xbox?
