I actually did play the One Piece game American version. It got annoying hearing GUM GUM RAPID FIRE for the 1 millionth time. They also changed Zoro's 36 Pound Cannon and 108 Pound Cannon attacks (now they have something to do with Phoenixs)
I saw the dub last night after a LONG absence of no new episodes. Now they're in Alabasta. This episode they just met Bon Clay and he sounds like Little Richard. There were some very noticeable edits if you've seen the original.

He might be part of the crew. He's Franky, and he's one of the two likely canidates for the Straw Hats shipwright postion.

You see, Viz the company that publishes Shonen Jump in America is in cahoots with 4Kids. When the dub started, after two years of calling Zoro well Zoro, they started calling him Zolo. They seem to remove anything remotely Japanese from it. Plus all the profanity is gone. One example is when Sanji told someone to Eat Shit. Instead he said Eat Worms.
Plus, poor advertising is not making it sell well along with a crappy dub.
