YES! Someone who finally watches the original Japanese version instead of that crappy dub that they push on us (which may be over.)

Which episode on Kaizoku Fansubs are you up to?

Did you know they removed three characters from that game?

Enel, Aokiji, and Foxy the Silver Fox were removed for the American version of the game. I only rented the game since I didn't want to asscoiate myself with any of 4Kids products.

I wouldn't mind seeing the dub anyway. Kind of a "point and laugh at stupidity" thing I guess.

Episode 80, only 2 days 'till I can start downloading it again.

Yeah, the stupidity of the dub is true. Hammer Guns, Laboonburg (The whale Laboon was edited into an iceberg and was only on screen for about a minute,) there's more but I don't want to get into it.

Drum Island is a very good arc. Wait until you get to Episode 92, that begins the Alabasta (Arabasta) arc.

But when you get to the recent episodes, hopefully you can get the new codecs working on your media player because I can't.

...did you know that the iceberg was'nt even there for a minute, they kinda fas-forwarded that scene, it was there for litterally at most 10 seconds.

also, they dont have guns, they have cork-guns and water squirters.

Response to One Piece Crew 2005-11-22 17:06:53

From what I heard recently Dusk-. They turned the guns green and acutally fired bullets. They even kept Hiruluk's death in.

Has anyone ever been to the One Piece 4Kids.tv forums? They are shitty beyond belief. It's full of stupid noobs who think that the dub is actually cool (which it's not) and have topics like "It's not Zoro it's Zolo" and "Sanji's hot don't you think" despite all of them hearing is the dub voice.

Plus they are really slow since they have this scrolling thing at the bottom.

I've seen the screenshot of the hammergun... seemed hilarious at the time. As for the Laboonberg... TEH SUCK. Know any sites that go into this further?

Only one and a quarter days until I can continue the series :D

I can only imagine how much that must suck.

This site is done by young woman from the www.arlongpark.net forums but it hasn't been updated in a while. I think the pictures are broken but read the general edits section first then each indivdual episode to see how bad it's edited.

What Torrent client do you use? I use BitComet and it's really good but not so bad that I have to wait two days to download 2 gig files.

It's okay, I use VLC media player. But I'm trying to find a way to get it to work on Windows Media Player (where you can go to any scene you want)

But I ask on the AP forums how to fix it and no one helps. Which really sucks.

Go to K-F to see how it works and maybe you can tell me how to fix it. You seem like a smart computer savvy person.

Response to One Piece Crew 2005-11-23 16:03:05

The One Piece dub has been offically announced as NOT cancelled. It's currently in a mid-season replacement that's replaced by shitty whore shows. If you look at the schedule for 4Kids TV you'll know what I'm talking about.

That means we will still see the Alabasta Disasta and how it's going to be destroyed.

I use Azureus. I can't download anything because we have a 15 gig limit, and I went crazy downloading last month :p
2 gig files usually don't take all that long for me.

I'll try it out when I get back from school.

Yay, Chapter 391 came out today and guess who's flashback is starting? That's right Robin's flashback is here and telling us why she is considered such a threat.

Just nine more chapters until 400.

Response to One Piece Crew 2005-11-24 15:04:48

Damn. It's been really slow in the One Piece universe lately. No new episodes from K-F or Gerusama and no new raws. Just manga chapters which though this is the true One Piece (without all the filler and bad animation) it's not the same if the scans and Viz's translation sucks. I'm still trying to learn Japanese and I found out you can learn from a commuinity college before you're 18. I'll try to call them and see if I can take a course.

Two places to get One Piece Manga are ...

www.sasugabooks.com
www.amazon.co.jp

Warning, the latter is in COMPLETE Japanese so you won't understand a single word of it.

Response to One Piece Crew 2005-11-24 19:15:47

DAMN. Sasuga rips you off mighty. It costs almost $400 for a years subscription to Weekly Shonen Jump (the Japanese version of SJ) and I know that 's 52 issues but that's WAY to expensive for anyone. Even the rich.

if they did not do that, then life itself would have never been the same.
if hiruluk did not die, it would have been like that time alteration thingie in MGS:3

The Alabasta Disasta is what we nicknamed the dubbed Alabasta arc at the AP forums. It's going to be destroyed because it's a very violent arc. Usopp gets hit in the face with a 4-ton bat is one example. Then there's Luffy using his own blood to fight Crocodile.

It's going to be a "Disasta" since 4Kids won't be able to handle it.

so youre tryin to say there not gonna put it in, or there gonna crazy "tweek" it

Crazy tweek it. They've already shown previews including Ace and Crocodile so we now know that Alabasta will be shown. How much will be cut will be unknown.

Here's more violence.

Kohza getting shot multiple times and Vivi doing her famous KOHZA scream. But do to her horrible monotonus VA it will probably be something like "kohza *yawn*"

Zoro's fight with Mr. 1. Mr. 1 has powers from the Supa Supa Fruit which turn his body into steel and give him the ability to slash with his arms. Zoro gets cut up like crazy but he wins by finding the "breath of all things"

Nami's fight with Ms. Doublefinger. She has powers from the Toge Toge Fruit (which give her thorns) and she stabs Nami's foot and other parts of her body (nothing vital though.)

The worst part about this arc is the civil war that happens between the guards of Alubarna (captial of Alabasta) and the Rebels. People die from this war and I don't know how 4Kids is going to handle this.

So Alabasta will need to be tweeked A LOT.

I have a new catchphrase for One Piece's popularity.

"One Piece. Popular everywhere except America."

What do you think?

Also, I have a theory that the dub will never dub everything past the Jaya arc. Due to the violence in Jaya, HEAVY religion references in Skypiea, and HEAVY violence in Water 7. I think that 4Kids will get Toei to make new episodes just for America.

Response to One Piece Crew 2005-11-26 08:19:01

Maybe 4Kids will just drop the show after the Alabasta arc and sit on the lisence until it expires in 2009 (Long time I know.)

Tomorrow, Double feature in Japan with TWO episodes instead of one (which makes up for the absence of last weeks.)

I get the sarcasm but I do feel I should be older. Not because I want to drink or drive. But to rather get on with my life and stop being stuck in the same old routine.

Anyone live in Illinois?

If you do, then there's a place where you can buy the original Japanese One Piece for $5.90 a piece (which is cheaper then Sasuga.)

Reply if you do and I'll tell you where you can buy them.

Response to One Piece Crew 2005-11-27 17:06:29

That Japanese bookstore I told you about carries all 39 volumes of One Piece and will get the 40th a few days after it comes out (probably.)

The 40th comes out on December 26th 2005 (according to Amazon Japan.)

Getting the remaining 38 volumes (I have the first) would cost me $224.20 without tax.

K-F was recently hacked by a porn site.
