But the question is: Why did you make it 10 minutes?

Dude, you have until 1 Oct to do something about that. That track as it is now will be disqualified for sure...

I feel like a lot of people haven't been reading the directions clearly. I did not think so many people would be asking when the deadline is when it's in the first paragraph.

A common problem with NG competitions and just logistics in general, unfortunately. I would signpost the deadline way better - like have a spot in the introductory post that says like
DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1ST, 0:00 AM GMT

I should do that next year.
Nevermind, strike that. I now have the ability to upload to newgrounds xD Legal things are now lighter, so I have access to this.

Okay
I've been itching to take part in another NG competition for a while. You can expect to see something from me here!
Entry: Cracking the Code
Tempo: 120 bpm

I had to finish it quickly because I'm busy with school. Also because there was a gap between the first time I worked on it and the second time, it ùmight feel weird.
I hope you'll still enjoy !
Imagine being french
14 days left and I'm finding some pretty good competition this round... plus there's some more to come 0.o
ok, i made a cut version of my entry, hopefully this time its good https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/824059

No worries, I was just being facetious! Gotta give him credit for really committing to his trolling, though. lol

That's what I figured, lol. In reality he is an awesome musician. He's light years ahead of what I can produce.
10 days left!
man I love some of the stuff that's in this competition so far lol
I want to participate! :D
Update from my end: I now have a completed project file. Repeat: I now have a completed project file...
Only a matter of days now before it's up.
Decided to release it early. The feelings behind this song are eating me up inside.

The deadline is October 1st, so there's still some time.

Does it have to be in the key of the example?
I believe one of the entries was transposed to a different key.
My guess is that as long as the original melody can be heard (but in a different key), you can have it in a different key.
Sorry guys, but it's been a busy month for me and I haven't had time to put anything together. I'm going to have to drop out.

I should hope it's acceptable to do that, too, because that one entry had some really sound ideas IMHO, but the ultimate decision on that goes to @Zophar.
