OGame is a web browser text based game set in space. The game starts off rather slow admittedly, though eventually you can build up Armada's, conquer planets, raid your opponents, and trade with your friends/ alliance.

The Newgrounds Syndicate (Tagged as NGS) is our current alliance in the Capella universe. Be sure to join Capella, or else you won't be able to find the alliance. Once you've created an account, click the "Alliance" tab located on the left. Click "Search Alliance" and either type in the full name or simply NGS. Next to our name, click the little button that looks like a letter to apply. Leave a message stating who you are on the forums and we'll most likely add you. Right now, none of us are very high levels, though once we are, we'll be able to provide assistance to those that need it.

Until then, I strongly recommend reviewing the OGame Wikia to answer some of your basic questions. Positions and ranks are still being determined and aren't final, so come on and join us if you'd like! If you have questions, Ryan is the Alliance leader, with Zerok and myself as support. OGame is not a direct branch off from Newgrounds, so whatever happens in OGame stays in OGame. It's all in good fun kids.

Respectable for a day and a half. I wish I hadn't spent money on deut mines though, just metal and crystal to build up a decent reserve. Not worth tearing them down now though.

I started a little later than some, but in resources: 9M, 7C, 2D, 10S (getting that 10 Solar right now), and 1 to research facility. Going slowly, but I'm trying to figure out which path I want to take as far as if I want to play defensively, aggressively, expand, turtle, research, etc.

My system has a couple planets in red, and I'm afraid I'm going to get clobbered if I advance too quickly.... so I'm laying down a nice sturdy foundation before I try and expand to other planets and shit.

If they're in red, they can't attack you yet. Likewise, you can't attack anyone in green (That's newbie protection). You should start to worry when the players aren't green or red, haha. I'm surrounded by one inactive player who has 3-4 planets, and one red guy with the same amount of planets (which means I'm screwed once I get off newbie mode).

The trick is to build up enough defense to make attacking you not profitable.

Well the way I see it, if I'm still in noob mode, nothing in blue can pose a real threat. The red is where I'm headed... the day this guy shows up blue instead of red, I'm fucked.

Also... how can you tell if this one guy is inactive?? No rank advancement on his part?
