On a more relevant note, if any of you have inactive neighbors that you know about post a screenshot or give the coords of their location for future farming on the OGame thread. I\'m experimenting this right now with an inactive users who has no defenses.

There's this one guy who has been inactive for a long time. He's in an Alliance, but it only has two other members so I think it would be safe to attack him.
Coords: 1:89:8 and his ranking is 1143

Have you built any probes yet? He's got 143 points so there's a risk that he has some defenses. He may have a butt-load of mines instead, which would make him ideal for farming regularly.

I'm actually fast teching to colony as well, though I have fewer defenses and I'm researching for espionage probes as well. I need to upgrade my resources as well. I'm only 10/11/7

At lower levels, you really shouldn't have to worry about high level players attacking you. It'd be unprofitable to attack someone in the lower ranks. The key is to build up your defenses to where they'd lose more than gain; as well as making sure to spend your resources when you can. It's very bad to save too much. It's alright to save for the most expensive upgrade/ building, but try to buy that upgrade/ building right when you can.

When I used to play, every time I woke up I'd see a raid incoming, and I'd simply spend as much resources as possible if I felt I'd lose the battle.

Gonna need lvl 3 espionage or so for your astrophysics.... and you'll need to get at least level 1 of astrophysics to colonize a new planet, according to the tutorial.

Yea, so I've got my extra 2 espionage probes. Upping my metal mining just before I go to bed and upped a few techs as well. Should be able to upgrade again by the time I wake up

Zerok has a good strategy when it comes to looking for farm planets.

Search for planets named Homeworld and look for players near your system and who have some points. Then check that system and see if they're inactive.

Some bastard with a homeworld of "earth" is about to get a visit from Mar Sara's fleet. He's inactive. If I don't succeed, I'll hit his two colonies next, they're unnamed.

Make sure they don't have an alliance, and if you don't have probes yet don't attack them if they have like, more than 2-3 points. You can tell their point level from their rank, just look at our list and see who has a rank similar to them, mouseover the friendly rank and it'll show you the points.

Systems within 5 of yours are the best to target. When checking out a "Homeworld" system don't forget to check out the neighbours, could be juicy nearby targets too.

If he already has two colonies than I'm willing to bet his homeworld has def... you might end up getting your cargo killed.
