Yeah, your reviews are great. Some of your reviews are like walls of text, maybe you could split those type of reviews into paragraphs. Other than that, your reviews are excellent.

There have been a few changes to the rules from the first post, and we're thinking of adding a new rule of the club being updated in *two* weeks not one, so there's a bit of confusion for now, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM one of us or ask in the thread :).

The next update is due next Sunday (the 9th) so you can start reviewing the requests from the latest requests list in the thread, and sometime on Saturday or whenever you finish your desired amount of requests, post the points you gained by reviewing and you'll be part of the club and added to the next list :).

I do have one more question before I begin reviewing: Just for clarification, can more than one club member review the same request, or is there some sort of "one review per request" rule? Nope, that's one of the advantages of the RRC. You don't get just one review when you request.

So yeah, review any requests from the latest requests list; all if you feel like it, but you're not forced to, and you don't need to mind about which request you review :).

My goal is to review the current list as well as slowly review the previous lists (within reason), but this week I seem to be swamped with HW :X

I'd like to join up. I promise I will work on the blocky-ness of my reviews. I just haven't figured out how I want to structure them yet.

Yeah, let's hope some more 100%ers join the club sometime soon... Also, that idea about diversifying might work, although 7/8 of the club will go straight to Flash and Art lol :P. Anyway what the heck, for now we'll wait, maybe we can start the 3 requests per 2 weeks thing after the next update or the one after that.

Firstly, sure you can join, your reviews are awesome. Go to the list 2 pages before this, I think (just look for the latest requests list) and review the submissions in that list. When you've finished the amount you want to finish, post your points here in the thread.

Also, about the structure, here's how I structure my reviews in case this might help you out:

Note that I stole the Flash review structure from Fro :3.

FLASH:
1st Section: Introduction - Just give a small introduction to start your review out.

2nd Section: Animation/Graphics - Just talk about stuff like how well the flash was drawn, how smooth and well-done the animation was, etc...

3rd Section: Story/Concept/Gameplay - Talk about the concept; is it original? Is it overused? Also, about the story; is it generic? Does it pull you in? If it's a game, comment about the gameplay.

4th Section: Audio - No Flash is complete without Audio. Say stuff about the [lack of] sound effects/music, the voice acting if there are any voices, etc...

5th Section: Overall/Conclusion - Summarize what you said and finish your review; don't forget to add 'Review Request Club' at the bottom :).

AUDIO:
1st Section: Introduction - Same as above; just a sentence or two to start the review up.

2nd Section: Melodies/Instruments - Comment on the melodies; were they generic? Were they catchy? Were there enough melodies to keep the listener interested? etc... Talk about the instruments too; did they fit well with the melodies? Were they good quality? You can also talk about the effects used, production and vocals here too.

3rd Section: Transitions/Structure - How well did the song transit from one melody to another? Were there good buildups? Were the intro/ending good, or were they abrupt/strange? Talk about the structure; is the song well structured? Does it have enough variety?

4th Section: Drums/Percussion - Drums and percussion are so popular in songs nowadays that almost every song has some form of percussion in it here on NG. Comment about it; were the samples good? Were the beats good? Were they the right volume? If there are no drums, do you think the song needs drums? If the song doesn't have and doesn't need drums, just leave this section out.

5th Section: Overall/Conclusion - As I said above, just summarize what you said and finish your review.

ART:
I know nothing about art so this structure may suck :P.

1st Section: Introduction - Yeah I like starting reviews with an introduction. Same as above :).

2nd Section: Colour Scheme/Shading/Texture - Were the colours chosen right; did they match with each other and with the overall theme of the picture? Was the shading drawn correctly, if there was? Was the texture plain?

3rd Section: The Picture Itself - Comment on its concept. Talk about how well it was drawn, and if there are any things which look out of place or roughly drawn.

4th Section: Foreground/Background - I usually leave this paragraph out, but here you can talk about how well the foreground fits with the background, and maybe say how to improve the background. For example, if there's a picture with a plain white background, you can suggest on what background you can add instead.

5th Section: Overall/Conclusion - As above.

So yeah, that might help you out a little :P. Good luck reviewing and enjoy your stay in the club :).

You know, this sounds like a good idea. Why not share the workload between the members. This would make sure that every request gets at least one review from this club and members don't have to review everything:
For example, Coop (and every other member that wants to review flash) reviews the flash requests,
I review a part of the audio requests
Supersteph also reviews audio requests, but different requests than me, and so on.

Of course every member is still free to review everything, but the main objective of the member would be the requests that where assigned to him/her.

Of course this solution needs a different points system and it would need a foolproof way of assigning requests to members, but I really like this idea.

This could be a good idea, especially if the requests list stay as lengthy as they're getting. But I agree that it'd need a different kind of points system/way of assigning requests. Though that could be as simple as working out one person to review flash/art and a handful to review audio.
Because at least that way, no request would go unreviewed, which is generally the aim here.

Because I'm sure flash and art will be catered for by the generally higher number of reviews they get, so I'll just make sure that- short of getting everything done- all the audio get a review.
