Day 13 brings with it one of the most famous Dinosaurs of all, the quick as the wind, meat-eating bull, Carnotaurus, and Abelisaurid from Argentina. I do quite like Carnotaurus, never seen much of it in Dino media as a kid, but the main thing I remember as my introduction to this animal was Ace from Dinosaur King, which was a pretty formative show for my love of Dinos today. I don't think its one of my top favorites personally, but its easy to see why it is for so many others. It just has this undeniable cool factor to it, ya know. Something about the name "Meat-Eating Bull" that just has this barbaric energy about it, and I really enjoy it. Makes it so I'm always stoked to see it show up in things.

These beasts roam the badlands and plains of the inland regions. Swift as the wind, they are extremely fast pursuit predators who run down and take out their prey with a strong bite from their very short heads. These heads sport a pair of sharp horns that grow throughout the animals life, with older individuals having damaged, and sometimes uneven horns because of the way they use them to headbutt both prey and each other, leading them to break and regrow in warped patterns. Some of the barbaric tribes of the badlands use these creatures as large game hunters, with packs of them easily taking out large animals, some hauls feeding the tribe for weeks. They are also used for travel because of their speed and stamina. Should you find yourself faced with a Carnotaurus, remember this. They can run so fast because their long, think tails anchor hugely powerful leg muscles, but this makes the tail very stiff and inflexible, meaning they cannot turn very well at all, so sharp quick turns will almost certainly help in avoiding them should they attack you.
