Day 21 brings the first and only Hadrosaur on the list, a group that I am rather fond of. This particular species is Barsboldia a Hadrosaur from Mongolia. These creatures were quite sizeable, on the larger size of Hadrosaurs to my knowledge. They also lived in very arid environments, which is unusual for most of the Hadrosaurs I know. I quite like their weird faces and extravagant head ornamentation, even though my favourite Hadrosaurs Edmontosaurus and Shantungasaurus lack it for the most part. As for colours, I've always enjoyed the look of earthy colours with a splash of bright colours on the nose or crest. One of my friends said it looked like a Mandrill, which was completely by accident, but they are nice colours.
These large Dinosaurs are known as Barsboldia. They are native to arid and tropical areas and are known to migrate between the 2 at different times of year. Their herbivorous and generally peaceful disposition has falsely given people the impression that they are no more than fodder. Easy prey for predators in the area. More sensible, in the know people however know the danger that they can pose should they be provoked, as they can and will defend themselves, violently if necessary. Their large size and penchant for travelling in herds mean that many predators don't mess with them ever, unless they're desperate. However, their peaceful nature is more prominent, and this makes them common tames, especially around the coastal towns, often seen as beasts of burden alongside others in a Saltasaurus caravan. They are known to form close bonds with their rider, treating them as part of their herd, and valiantly protecting them. Hadrosaurs really are such sweet, noble creatures.
