Day 17 comes with a mammal, the only one on the list I think, Repenomamus, a small mammal that had quite the interesting predator, prey relationship with on of the dinosaurs on this list. This is another one that I hadn't heard of before doing this prompt list, and as they go, prehistoric mammals don't really enter my head much, except for Ice age mammals. The colours are just your basic mammal colours, a lot of brown, but I actually quite like the way this turned out. Don't draw fuzzy things that often, but I enjoy it when I do.
These little critters are quite hardy. The Repenomamus is a small hunter who inhabits forests around the regions of the world, and are known for their skill in hunting small Dinosaurs. They are quite primitive in build compared to most mammals, but their effectiveness in their environment is evidence enough as to why they haven't changed. The dinosaurs they tend to hunt are a species that could easily injure a Repenomamus if given the chance, but somehow they keep a good success rate. I'll have to see them hunt more to get an idea of their techniques.
