I've been looking around this thread, and all of them look great! It's nice to see NG get more into the designer toy scene. When painting DIY toys like these, DO NOT USE OIL-BASED PAINTS! The figure is made out of vinyl, and it chemicals inside oil-based paints will ruin the paint job and figure. For line work, I'd suggest using Sharpie Poster Paints.

Kamakazi means suicide attacks. It's a Japanese work. During World War II the Japanese would fly their plans directly into US boats to try to sink them. Usually they planes were lined with explosives. It's a sure-fire way to hit your target...but you'll die :-/.

Wow, these are really nice, I'm really looking forward to MiddleFinger's though. Does anybody know or think if a fine point sharpie or a regular sharpie would work on these? I'm thinking of ordering one for myself..

regular sharpie works fine, the key is sticking to that same brand if it dies on you... tthe color black comes in very different shades and pigmentations across brands.. id get 2 or 3 sharpies so if one dies youre still working with the same hue of black.

I didn't like the look that a black sharpie gave me. I tried it on a small area and I got that shiny, dark purple-y look from it. Instead I used a black stylus sort of pen.

i did notice sharpie and those fat zebra permanent black markers have a more purpley black you are right.

Bloody excellent, this is one of my favourites. Nice work :D. The eyes look a bit flat thoough, maybe change them to a bit more of a point shape and I'd go round the edges with a grey marker just to give them a tad of depth.

Yeah, I just thought of the shades looking like purple a little, it's happened before with a sharpie. I'll just try out a couple, maybe get 2. What did you say might help so you can start over?

I hear there is no time like the present, so I just ordered mine online from Strangekiss Art Toys and should have them soon. Not bad with only nine days left til competition deadline, right?

I love the forum and the stuff so far has been wicked, but I will not be dissuaded. I've been dreaming of vinyl expression and finally, it will be mine. Two of them to be exact!

Mine got here today, finally, But now im out of money. So that means It will be hard to paint this.

With the competition coming to a close soon heres an update on the prizes.

I was thinking about it last night and i think prizes are always more worthwhile if they encourage your creativity so that was my thought process behind it.

Its better than just giving people money. In my opinion. Plus the giant munny is very rare and expensive.
