I'd rather not have to re-size my sig, but if I have to, I will. But getting rid of animation? Meh, seems a bit harsh really. I've never seen any obnoxious flashing seizure sigs or anything like that so it doesn't seem neccessary to me.

It's your site however, so do what you like. I'm not gonna stop visiting the forumor the site just because animated sigs aren't allowed.

Do what you please to the BBS, its not like any of us are going to leave because of the layout. Also, Stampers artwork is ultra slick, so why would anyone dislike it?

Your third part is right about the sigs remark, but cleaning up newgrounds is an act we will all have to undergo, Tom, do your thing.

It pissed me off about the blog idea, it pissed me off in turning this website into MyGrounds. Personally, I don't think NG needs a new layout. I also personally would find the new smaller signitures nothing but a pain in the ass.

I think that would be a brilliant idea.
I only use sigs so that I can find the post I'm looking for while scrolling very quickly.
Animated sigs can be distracting whenyou're actually trying to read a thread.
And shorter, longer sigs would just look cooler.
Right now we've got a big space for sigs and we can only use 3/4 of it.
So good ideas.

Sorry, but people are getting hyped about nothing really.
Unless this 'Third party' is incredibly important, then I would prefer that that the decision to change the entire BBS wasn't been mainly orchestrated by it.

This sig isn't exaclty a huge problem is it, It's lame, unoriginal and uncreattive, but it's hardly anything to get riled up about.

NO! please dont make the sigs smaller (just because you dont have one) if anything you should make the sigs bigger but make the amount of text smaller.

i am really looking forward to the new layout but not at the lose of some of the best sigs ever!

A BBS signiture, by definition, is just meant to be a way of defining the end of your post. You do not need a God damn signiture which gives me a fucking migraine, nor do you need a huge 60px width to put your name in.

595x40 is, in my honest opionion, ample. After all, you only need your name, and a picture as a background if you so wish. So, with that, get off your high horses, stop being a bunch of Tories, and embrace the change that will make this forum look far more aesthetic.

You shouldn't decrease the height , i make my own sigs and i have enough trouble making them fit as it is , if they were 1/3 smaller , i just wouldn't get by.

I personally really enjoy the size and animation of current sigs but but I'd be more than happy to forego the animation and 20 pixels if we get to upload larger pictures.

Photoshop threads and and the forum in general look kinda weak with only 300x400 pics at 40k not to mention the tacky photobucket links that are all over.

I remember Jim posting something along the lines of "We hardly ever go past %50 of the bandwidth limit." So hosting larger pictures probably wouldn't be an issue and page downloads will still be quick if you used a linked thumbnail system like deviantart or photobucket.

I like how I got completely off the topic of sigs.

YES! I absolutely agree! To be honest I think the forums would be better off without sigs and sig pics alltogether, so that everything would look consistent. No objections here.

I was thinking "I don't like the smaller height pixels", but looking at that sig, I wouldn't mind having the smaller height and having a higher width sig. :D And having no animated sigs, well, I don't mind that either although my "The following users will die" sig is no more. :( But if there were no animated GIFs allowed in sigs, then that wouldn't bother me much.

A simple resize of sigs doesen't bother me, I wouldn't mind if they got removed altogether.

well this kinda saddens me, i like'd all the sigs :( my sig can easily be fit to the new size, but awww. i like animated sigs, i know lots of people suck and can't make sigs... oh well :( i've never thought they looked like ads though, heh. at least you haven't completly removed them. i'm sure the site will be awesome enough, that smaller sigs won't matter ;) it'd take a while to get used to it, but i guess we could all do it (obviously, if we're forced ;P)

I always ask other people to make sigs for me. I have no real clue how to make or edit them. So that's not really pertinent to me.

a lot of people have got them from other people like the asm or any of those clubs but I dont really mind

I like the idea of wider sigs and the height loss doesn't really bother me. When I come here I don't really judge it on by how it looks though as that's not really the point, so couldn't care less if people have ugly looking sigs.
