Deep Purples discography is... extensive... I didn't realise till the other day how many albums they've released.

Holy shit your right. Its sad how they performed at Live 8 too, all that drinking seriously fucked shit up. They are definatly not what they used to be

It's always the way though. Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Guns N Roses... loads of other bands for some reason i can't think of the names of, when they lose a certain member they go down the pan.

Response to Progressive Rock Club 2006-09-23 12:22:33

Led Zepellin and The who. Some bands were lucky enough to find someome that could fill the person's shoes who left or died like ACDC and Pink Floyd

Thanks to the guy you helped me with my GY!BE wuestion before, by the way.

Well I'm not "in charge" or anything, but some of those are pretty proggy. I don't see any problem, since everybody will probably end up arguing all the time about what bands mentioned actually are prog.

Nah, I only found out about the Alexi ESP on Friday, and I just liked it cause it has 24 frets, a Floyd Rose and a Randy Rhoads-esque V shaped body. And thats everything that I'm looking for in a shred guitar.

I've hated Bodom however for months :P.

so, to Porcupine Tree fans out there; what album would you suggest I get first? Deadwing would be my first choice, but that's because the only song of theirs i've heard is on that album.
