I have been making some extra rules for the Clubs and Crews Forums but no one would wanna see them. Plus, people would never listen. :/

OK my club got locked because it was an rpg but I cleared it with ramgi I did like people told me to but then Jos comes along and locks it and says no rpgs and it had been going for almost a week can someone clear this up heres a link to the club so you can make sure it wasnt locked for another reason

Good point, I don't know what the best way to do it would be since there are too many dead/active clubs. If you want to find one thats lost or you want an opinion on starting one I would suggest asking in the C&C Regulars Lounge theres bound to be somebody who could help.

well, i have a question regarding clubs, and this seems like a good place to look, so here we go:

made a marching band club. someone posted a link to his instrument (as in 'in general') club. then my club gets locked.

am i sensing a bit of confusion here? or are we not allowed to have two clubs that are only related in that music is played?

I'm not a mod, but I'm pretty sure that, if the only reason the mod locked it was no effort put into making it, then maybe later you can try again with greater effort and get the club accepted by the mods. However, I spend some time here, and I rarely see a club locked solely for lack of effort. Usually if the creator of the club is making a club that isn't either redundant or stupid, he puts some effort into it, enough to get it accepted.

Also, I'm bumping this because it's been languishing in the depths of obscurity for over a year now, and more importantly, as a result most of the rules / guidelines laid out in this thread are plainly not known to some of the newer regulars. I've seen about a dozen hopelessly lazy attempts at new clubs recently, as well as some of the same +1 posting that this seems to have been written to address. I think there are a few prople here who could do with (re-)reading this.

According to Tri-Nitro-Toluene, bumping 'official' threads like this isn't backseat modding. Yes, I asked him about it first.

Geez, probably a good idea actually. I've been a regular in C&C pretty much since I signed up, and I've never seen it before, even though it's been bumped a few times in the last few years. You're right about the seeming lack of understanding that some of the new users have, since I've sometimes seen up to 3 or 4 locked threads on the front page in recent days.
