This is CD 2012, you silly, it was renamed because it will (hopefully) get released in 2012.

Yeah, but look at it this way: you can always build up more mixing tips and more musical ability to better prepare yourself for the 2013 leg.

Yeah, but look at it this way: you can always build up more mixing tips and more musical ability to better prepare yourself for the 2013 leg.

true but i love to take part in competitions i would wonder how far i can come with my music, and in 2013 i hope to sell some CD's ;)

Get your stuff reviewed first. That's the one thing that we at the NG CD project had to undergo. Each submission was reviewed by FatKid. Constructive reviews will tell you, in a nutshell, how far you can go. They'd tell you your strong points and your weak points. And if your weak points outweigh the strong, you're not CD-ready yet, and vice versa.

I scored 8/10 in the NG CD auditions (which is insanely high for a track which isn't CD-ready). Yes, I am actually saying my track wasn't CD-ready at all.

Tell you what, if you get people to give your stuff a listen, that might help, before you participate in a competition of any kind.

i don't get much reviews, that's why i try to get into a lot of competitions. just to get my music noticed. i feel a little bit underrated. but i will ask him if he can review my song also i almost made it in into the NGADM and just after that i get some good inspiration and made some songs who are better then in whitch i did audition. and if you are kind. would u like to review my latest song ?

Considering what I said about your most recent track...... you'd probably end up in the relegation list like me. They were VERY, VERY selective with the CD tracks.

this the most importand thing of being an audio artist. Be Patient and work hard :)

And just so you don't get the wrong idea, judging was 100% unbiased and had nothing to do with genre. Competetion was fierce and I had a hard time choosing the best. Tracks were based off of originality, flow, quality, style, e.t.c. We have over 10 genres on the CD. It is very diverse. The purpose of this competition was to bring together the community, hoping to improve the people in it and recognize those who currently stand out. This community helps each other improve, so one day you too can be on the CD. Keep asking for advice, try not to bug too many people, and listen to tips given. Do the same and you will be rewarded.

I entered the competition to test myself to make a song under a time constraint, never in a million years did I expect to get in.
This is the first and probably the last competition I've entered and placed.
So never doubt your own abilities. In the end if you do your utmost best you may end up surprising yourself.
