I figured it out. Ambient -> Orchestral -> Heavy Metal with a light orchestral intro -> Metal.

That sounds like a hell of a plan!

This is CD 2012, you silly, it was renamed because it will (hopefully) get released in 2012.

Yeah, but look at it this way: you can always build up more mixing tips and more musical ability to better prepare yourself for the 2013 leg.

Yeah, but look at it this way: you can always build up more mixing tips and more musical ability to better prepare yourself for the 2013 leg.

true but i love to take part in competitions i would wonder how far i can come with my music, and in 2013 i hope to sell some CD's ;)

Get your stuff reviewed first. That's the one thing that we at the NG CD project had to undergo. Each submission was reviewed by FatKid. Constructive reviews will tell you, in a nutshell, how far you can go. They'd tell you your strong points and your weak points. And if your weak points outweigh the strong, you're not CD-ready yet, and vice versa.

I scored 8/10 in the NG CD auditions (which is insanely high for a track which isn't CD-ready). Yes, I am actually saying my track wasn't CD-ready at all.

Tell you what, if you get people to give your stuff a listen, that might help, before you participate in a competition of any kind.
