Just wanted to say i have contacted a local youth group "yipworld" and it turns out these guys have had a professional music studio for years!

Bassically i asked if i could have access to the studio for mastering the CD and i fully explained the project to them. I am still waiting for a reply (i only sent email away 5 mins ago) but if all goes to plan we will not only have the CD's mastered but these guys will jump on the bandwagon and give the project a little exposure via local newspapers.

Trust me these guys are in the newspaper all the time for things like "young person of the year" and "Look how much we raised for charity" kind of things and i am sure thier going jump on this since i am local musican thats helping to make a CD for charity so hopefully we get a little exposure out of it too.

I will keep you guys posted on any devlopments on this ...

UPDATES ON CD:

I am mixing it now, but won't be able to finish until Janurary 13th because I have a venue I'm practicing for on the 11th. The artist bailed, but I just sent lots of PMs to new people. I also sent out PMs for a masterer. Tom right now is far to busy to respond to PMs currently... but hopefully I will be able to get into touch with him.

Right these yipworld guys have not emailed me back yet, so iam gong to phone them tomorrow i think there website is really dated and the never use it.

You want WAVs on the CD? The size of all the files would multiply by at least 5. I know our track is at least 50 MB-60 MB

I sent mine, it was 120MB :/

I think he needs WAV's because they're still good quality when you convert them to another file format.

Not just that, some sites only allow for WAV (or nonetheless lossless) files to be uploaded because it is then possible to download the same files in other formats as well. Bandcamp uses this method, for example.

And because you cant master in any other format

lol i can't remember if mine was originally a wav file or not. Haven't gotten a "U YU NO SEND WAV?" PM so i must be good.
