A question for Dan and The Behemoth in general:
How long are wanting these songs to be? Roughly 3-4 minutes in length?
What kind of songs are you looking for? Primarily level songs, menu loops, arcade-style loops?
I have a lot of ideas, but I don't want to waste time making something formatted for an aspect of the game you guys aren't planning on having.
I'm not sure if this would fit into the game or not, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

I pulled this one out. Some said it would make a good menu/loading screen song. I dont think it would fit, but hey ...
I remember playing through Castle Crashers, and noticing the change in music when you got to the cave level. It went from happy to slightly eerie and depressing.
So, I figured you might need some adverse music for darker levels.
The intro is slow, so it gives it time to build up.
I might as well enter this here - might be good for a menu or whatnot. I'll post more if I get more pieces done that might be suitable.

though i can't speak for Dan and the behemoth, i'm pretty certain that the music that they feel is good for the game, will be bought/signed/whatever for the game, with a contract and all that stuff to get the rights to use the music in the game. so yeah, it's a commercial project, just like alien hominid and castle crashers.

yeah, anywhere from 2-4 minutes would be ideal. songs that can be used during gameplay or menus. fun stuff. less electronic and more instrument based stuff. one man band > techno beat.

I still think this could work with what I've seen from the game though :P
Hopefully there is still a bit of time as I'm waiting for some expensive software to arrive that'll allow me to compose some instrumental music. I've got some ideas in mind specifically for this game.
It's the longest and most detailed song, but it's not all synthy either, and It's make for a really avant garde' style loading screen, or transient area, like the level selection area. Somewhere that the music wouldn't be playing for longer than a minute or so. Maybe a really weird characters theme?
