Needs more

Hmm, there are two major issues with the piece which leaps off the start block at me. The first is the "teddy bear ears", which look like you've sewn a patch of cloth over the front of his ear. The second is the "seam" running straight down the forehead. More smoothing required, as I've never met anyone with that kind of regularity to a facial feature.

The moustache gives a very stern look to the butler character, but I would not have said that one's butler is posh enough to warrant a monocle. A pair of spectacles would be tolerable, but Monocles are clichéd indicators of upper class, not one's manservant.

Similarly to your other piece, you could do with some background and more context. While this piece fits the frame better (consider narrowing it down slightly), it could use shoulders to the left of the picture, as we look at it.

Clearly, the program is easy to manipulate, so a little more attention to detail will reap greater benefits.

what do you mean its easy to manipulate?! ITS NOT EASY TO MAKE THESE!

...anyway, thanks for the advice :D

Pretty nice

You can tell he got stitches at the top of his head obviously. I think this image also turned out quite nice so you did some nice handiwork on this image too. How long do you spend making these 3D images anyways? I do like his monocle as well.

The face seems a little flattened right down to his nose as well. Also the mustache looks a little funny to me as it seems real big and possibly covering his mouth as well which is kind of odd I suppose.

The ears and eyes both seem sunken in a little bit as well which is good details to me. The monocle makes him look fancy.

Overall, nice work on this face.

i spend about an 30 mins - an hour (im not good at keeping tracking of time while doing them so im not 100 %)

Hey again!

The ear looked a bit messed up to me, there was an area near the head where there's a weird point that's looks unnatural, I dunno if that's supposed to be normal on a face. The monocle looks like a little bottlecap attached to the string to me, it would have been better if it had more detail or if it was colored differently. This one was a nice attempt but it could have been better.

PlusPlusKid responds:

yeah, the monocle got messed up when I made it for some reason

Looks like great practice

Hello again!

You truly seem to be improving, but the main issue is still the same, the fact that the head has some unnatural sharp edges. It really throws of the realism.

You did the eyes well on this one, but I think you should do something about the monocle, if that's what it is. It's the same color as the background, whereas I'm pretty sure it should be see-through. The eyes other than that look good, though you might want to work on adding eyebrows.

Not sure about the ear, but I liked the moustache. It suits the style you're going for. Ear on the other hand looks very unnatural and out-of-place.

THe lighting is also somewhat off, giving the head a glossy look, whichseems quite unnatural.

You should probably be focusing on the lighting in your next piece, make it look natural, and with the shading. That actually adds a whole lot to a piece like this.
