I adore this one! Beautiful, if I do say so myself! ^.^

There is something about purple and gold that I just love... Looks a bit like some kind of super cool, futuristic firework to me. I like fireworks....

awsome

just awsome :O

Happy new year!

Well, it's still some time until the new year, but as you said this picture looks like a big firework is going on and I'm connecting fireworks and new year in my mind.

I like that the fireworks only happen in the center of the page. Maybe there's a little too much black on the canvas, but if there was too much stuff going on in the background the picture could very easily look overloaded with effects.

Yes, the trouble with some fractals is how easily some parts could get lost in a busy background, particularly wispy bits like in this image. So a black background is just so much easier and good for showing off the fractal.

Thanks for the review. :)

Adobe Logo?

The 'A' in this image looks a lot like the Adobe PDF logo, which could lead to a lucrative deal with them - perhaps contact them about marketing and perhaps they'll want to use it. Can you convert apophysis files to .pdf files? I'm sure it must be possible :P

The piece is reminiscent of a firework, like you said - perhaps it could use some other 'firing angles', to make it look more like a fireworks display if you're pursuing that metaphor to the fullest extent.

Possibly could have used more variations with the colours, as I'd have preferred something more colourful than the traditional 'yellow-orange' flame of what people would say is most common in Western Fireworks.

Thanks.

I did try out other colour combinations, but this one was my favourite. I have my second favourite saved but I haven't rendered that one.

Sell it to Adobe? Nah, I wouldn't want to let a sneaky company like that use my work, I have principles you know. ;)

nal1200 :P

Heh, this looks like nal1200's icon. Well, anyway, back to the picture - amazing...

The colours are awesome. Purple and gold never matched so well together. Really amazing job on the colour scheme, as usual; it's excellent.

The detail of the firework thing is extraordinary. There seems to be pictures of dragons' heads around the sides which look great, and the firework itself looks very well done. The concept is original too, I've never heard of fireworks which explode such awesome colours and pictures.

My only complaints over here is that in the exact midde of the firework, right in the middle of nal1200's icon (:P), I was expecting something that grabs the viewer's attention a little; something that contrasts with the overall colours of the picture, maybe a red silhouette of a dragon or something. Also, the background is a little simple. Maybe you could add some stars to make it look like the firework exploded in the night sky.

There are just a few things that bothered me in this picture, but they don't even come close to stopping me from giving you a 10. Keep up the amazing work, you had deserved to be scouted ages ago. Awesome job!
10/10

Thank you! :)

I did get scouted, but with all the trouble with the the art portal and the resets, I kept getting unscouted. All fixed now, hopefully.

Amazing.

Before reading your comments, I was thinking of fireworks too..If only real-life fireworks were as spectacular.

The colours, as has now become standard with your pieces, are captivating.

Again, the detail, composition, symettry, and pretty much everything else is purely amazing.

I would love to be able to say something bad about it, but words escape me. Top notch work.

Also, we need to get you scouted! The Art Portal system doesn't work :(

EchoRun responds:

Thank you. :D

After any earlier disagreement over colour, I am always very glad when you like the ones I pick. Makes me smile. ^.^
