The Gap is not a place, it is a place between places, connection tissue of different parts of The Last Crypt

Most folks try to stay away from so - called Gap's, not like there is some kind of clear threat. but it messes with your mind.

Incomprehensible for a simple human perception.

Its unnatural scale, tightly squeezed walls, and dips between so deep that no one knows if it ends somewhere.

There is no end here, not even for walls.

The blinding red light without a clear source, that can be seen everywhere in The Crypt, but here it is painful to just stand beneath it, not to mention looking directly above, where, it seems it is seeping from

The sinful blood of God, burning away at our souls.

And yett He feels at peace here.

Gerom is strange man, even for a Pilgrim, He has no purpose, he has nothing to find in the depths, nor does he run from something, he just... like here. He loves this place, something you should never admit to anybody, love all of it's insanity, solitude that it provides.

A pittyful fool.

The architecture here is nothing like he ever knew before he ended up here, being a farmer's son and lived his whole life in the small vilage. His most exciting memory from his, life before, was seeing a traveling knight once.

And here, once he started walking out of the city's gates, around every corner he found something that he didn't expect. he was truly excited, for once in his life.

A Naive ignorance.

People told him, it would pass away with time, but time has passed so-so much of it, that he almost forgot what he was before the Crypt, but, his curiosity and excitement, still persists.

A prisoner who fall in love with his prison.

Gerom knows that he is a fool, no one should love his prison, but he is a fool that found his place.
