Very beautiful in fact. I love the picture itself. The dark background with the lighter colors you used left it up to the imagination of what exactly it could be. Assuming it's an explosion of some sort the first thought that comes to mind would be some sort of special high tech firework that has went off, but the oddest thing about it would be the sky isn't there as there isn't any glow off of what would be the explosion or the colors of the light.

The second thing I think of is some sort of odd creature in the deepest parts of the ocean that man could never visit or get down that far to see with their own eyes. There the glow wouldn't even be apparent because of the total lack of light the darkness would completely cover up any extra light. Could also be something you'd expect to see in space.

On the very extremes (especially the top right hand corner) it reminds me of some pictures that I once took in a graveyard where strings of light and energy were appearing from a nearby gravestone. (Ghost/Supernat. Club needs to be bumped ;) sometime)

So like I said, very beautiful. Leaves a lot for the person to decide for themselves and just looks awesome all around.

I'm glad you liked the 'ghostly' aspect of this, that is one of the thing I have found beautiful in this one, combined with the firework look.

Thank you. :)

Beautiful

The nature of the trails make it look really dynamic - like an explosion or something - but the assymetry makes it an interesting pic.

I can see a dragon's head in the lower left silver bit and some phoenixs on the left of the central gold.

EchoRun responds:

Thank you. :)

I like some asymmetry in fractals, most of the time anyway, as you say it makes them interesting.

Awesome

Wow that's great! I've been trying to master this kind of abstract art-- what did you use to make it? There's a great sense of motion here, and the particles are very nice, crisply defined, and organized to boot.
If you have any tips I'd be more than receptive to them.

EchoRun responds:

Apophysis is the program I use for this. It is free to download and use - just google it. :)

It is basicly a flame generator that uses maths to create images, like a very complicated chart - you just put the variables in, move stuff around, pick colours and it creates the image. There are plenty of tutorials and guides for beginners to use, or you can just play with the random stuff it generates.

very good

Very colorful and unique

EchoRun responds:

Thanks. :)

Pretty sweet...very TriForce-y.

Was this done with Apophysis?

EchoRun responds:

Yep.

I tag all my apophysis images so people can check (not that I am likely to pull something like this off freehand any time soon...).

Thanks for reviewing. :)
