the controls were smooth and natural. so many seem to have trouble with this. but with this game I knew my Hug Marine was going to go exactly where I wanted him to. and when I landed on blocks I knew I wasn't going fall through the edge of it. also the graphics managed to capture that old school flavor without looking like total crap. my biggest issue with the game is it's too damn linear. it practically drags you by the arm through each level with no opportunity to explore, which really sucks because with the precise controls and slick graphics, the game makes you WANT to explore.

Very short, very easy, very boring. Even for a classical Jump and Run this was totally not spectacular. I mean, your intention was quite nice of course, but having a message doesn't justify a totally lame game. Still I give 2,5 stars for the effort, the message and the music, which was quite well done and obviously connected to the styles of the levels.

Its a solid platformer, though I'd have to admit to being disappointed a little I was expecting running around hugging enemies to kill them. Difficulty isn't there the first level was probably the hardest. You don't get a higher score for the platforming for planting stuff under us we can't see, which caused me a couple deaths. Overall its average there's no enemies so if you like just the platforming part of platformers give it a try you'll beat it in about 10-20mins. Also way to trick me into thinking the last level might have had a boss battle disappointing.
I am with Hopper626, I want the metroidvania one^^ Liked the hopping and bopping, nice little game for the start.
