Reviews for "Hug Marine"

nice music (except the beach level). have you ever heard the word checkpoint? do you know heart of darkness? heart of darkness is harder BUT IT HAS CHECKPOINTS! could be longer with some aliens that refuse to recieve get hugged to death. heh, death by too much love/hugging...double jumpimg would help us players to not die. and some upgrades (in case you want to make a sequel, please ad a double jump, some love shooting weapons and some upgrades). i can breath under water but i can not swim? is the suit to heavy. hugging...by giving it a flower? i hope their necks snapped while he hugged them...

I was good but it is abit hard without check points

Totally - I'll make sure I get those put in.

I'm not much for hugs and therefore, the appeal of the game was not much for me. However, I appreciate the thought. I guess we could do with more love and less hate, so for that at least, you get some credits. Also, was the last level a shout-out to Contra last level? It certainly had that feel, what with hellish landscape and a big, beating alien heart at the end.

I have one big complaint, however. Why the hell did you have to bind jump on Z key? Would it be much easier to just bind it to, oh, I don't know... directional key up?

this was a fun game, the premise had me laughing, but i thought there would be more enemies which you would have to hug to defeat, the hugs are just goals at the end of levels, nit bad but could be better

the controls were smooth and natural. so many seem to have trouble with this. but with this game I knew my Hug Marine was going to go exactly where I wanted him to. and when I landed on blocks I knew I wasn't going fall through the edge of it. also the graphics managed to capture that old school flavor without looking like total crap. my biggest issue with the game is it's too damn linear. it practically drags you by the arm through each level with no opportunity to explore, which really sucks because with the precise controls and slick graphics, the game makes you WANT to explore.
