Good concept, bad navigation

I like the concept and how you shoot things, but the navigation needs work, it's hard to tell where you can walk and where you can't and you slide around on some stairs.

wow

Playing this game in the dark scared the fuck out of me. Good job!

decent

nice concept. needs polishing.

broken. bugged, and boring

As with your previous game, this one's got so many things wrong with it.

Collision detection is awful, using the power fist you're able to jump through walls..
Field of view is too small, no map no radar, no idea where I'm going.
Medals don't work.

Waste of time

The first game left me with a small sense of polish, with everything explained and a modicum of story. It felt like hardly any effort at all was put into this game, what with the bad design and slew of bugs.

While I understand that this was thematically a horror game, film graininess on top of dark, badly drawn levels felt like a bad design decision. The first thing I did was turn it off in the options, so I must at least thank you for that consideration.

But the rest of the game was incredibly buggy and glitchy and unexplained.

For example, death was just an instantaneous respawn/teleport combination that was very confusing. The first few times it happened, I did not realize I had died, but instead thought it was another nightmare effect.

Next, if the nightmares are caused by poison, why do I get them by being in the same room as them? Breathing it through the air?

As mentioned by others, the catwalk for the 3rd boss did not work well at all. In the end, rather than try and use it, I would purposely glitch my way through the walls using the power glove. Hooray for useful glitches, boo for glitches that I would not be able to beat the game without.

The path I was taking was rather confusing. I beat a boss and... where the heck am I? Why am I teleporting *because* I beat a boss? And why was I retracing my steps after the 3rd boss?

As far as instructions are concerned, there was no mention of how to switch weapons. I figured it out because I'm used to games where you switch weapons with the number keys, but it was no where in the instructions.

The leveling system seems like it was just tacked on for no reason, with little in-game explanations. I leveled so my gun can hold more bullets now? The heck? And there is also a predetermined amount of enemies in the game, it seems, so if I kill everything, I will always be the same level at the same point in the game

Final complaint, when fighting the bosses, the top-down system was a pain in the ass. Since they were all so large, most of the time I had to keep them off the screen just so that I would not be in range of their attacks. So attacking back meant firing bullets at an imagined head and not being able to tell if I was successful because the splatter would be off the screen.
