I'd say that he's more of struggling to stay very lively, for many reasons. Even after Sonic Forces' mediocrity, & Sonic Origin's backlash, Sonic will still live on, until Sega decides to end him. Sometimes, you shouldn't go fast. You gotta take your time & go at a steady pace, never rush, never procrastinate.
