Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of February we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 202 people to reach our goal of 3,100 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in March!

** EDIT **-----------------------

ANOTHER POSSIBLE FIX: In internet explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Security tab>Click Trusted Sites>Click the "sites" button and add Newgrounds.com to the list. Make sure require server verification in unchecked and make sure the enable protected mode button is uncheck as well in the trusted sites section. I have no way to verify this but it seems viable. Let me know if it works.

If that doesn't work try playing the game in Popup mode.

FIRST: THANKS to Tom Fulp for setting up the Power of Three event last summer.
SECOND: If you get stuck watch the video walkthroughs accessable through the in game menu.
THIRD: In the boss fight, watch for the blue target... and prehaps use your blue ability where it is pointing...
FOURTH:If the game runs slow for you right click and lower the quality settings until the game runs at normal speed.

Primary has been a long project for FrozenFire and me, we started this back in July... TONS of work have gone into this game and we hope you like it as much as we do.

Primary is about Roy, a super soldier in the land of the HUEman (get it? Ya we are lame.), who must climb to the top of Prizim tower to try to find a way to close the portal that is allowing horrible black goopy creatures into his world.

NOTE: You can play with an x-box controller with an emulator like Xpadder, I am told this also fixes the "Sticky Keys" bug. The elevator menu is able to be controlled with the keyboard as soon as the game has saved so you don't have to use the mouse if you don't want to.

If you are interested in learning more about the process of making Primary you can read my post mortum of sorts here:

First played this game like ten years ago, but never completed it due to being young and absolutely terrible at games, but it stuck with me because it was cool. Two days ago I decided to try again, and after several hours of trying (because apparently not much has changed lmao) I finally made it, so we can now cross that off the bucket list. Very cool game, would recommend.

JackSmack responds:

Glad you liked it! I'm really happy that people are still playing and enjoying it.

Every time I come back to this I forget how much I love this game. This has some amazing platforming and puzzles that sometimes still give me a hard time today after playing it for years (and no its not the controls although wall jumping can be wonky at times). Hope a sequel will be done at some point! Also I think many other people will agree, we need a source for the music for this game. Its soooo good and I wish i could listen to it without opening up the game in a background tab or something. Great job on having a nearly 10 year old game still hold up!

This use 2 B my s&@t. 5 Stars.

That was a great game so far! I like the music, the designing, and the whole plot! Things that made me go "niiiiice", is that you can do platforming with corresponding colors that the protagonist, Roy, that what color conditions he has. The designing of the final boss looks really good tbh. I pretty much liked his mouth, and eyes. My favorite part about the antagonist is that when he hits the ice block (that blue Roy inputted) made his arms injured, leaving him for awhile to heal, makes him all pretty ticked off that what Roy did to him. Though this game may have some flaws, such as loss of additional music, (the music will always play on every floor, also including the boss music) most levels were pretty easy, unless I make it hard by every mistakes I made, got me to the point of loss of thought, and focus. And the boss difficulty. It takes about 3 hits, and all phases are repetitive. That pretty much kills the entire "extreme" challenge I had in the last floor. But hey, this game is right on the big, juicy, hot, spicy spot of my game list. Me likey. Have a cookie my dude. And I imagine. What happens if those "black goopy creatures" were friendly? Based on my imagination.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, is there any chance that they will be making a sequel? (because to clarify the ending, the word: "To Be Continue" is shown.)

JackSmack responds:

I have kicked around the idea of a Primary sequel for several years. I started development on it before the flash apocalypse. Didn't get super far into it. I can't rule it out, though it might wind up being a reboot with more content, instead of a direct sequel at this point.

I just complete Level 12. It's better playing on here rather than on Armorgames.com.
