Also, for the whole mac thing, you could always use Gifs and have the transparent background. Of course, you'll suffer a drop in quality as a result. Personally I'm of a mind that if you're making it on a Mac, you should use the "Windows NG Grey" since the majority of people who will see it are Windows users, for it to get the best effect.
