2022 Highlight - Andyl4nd
@Andyl4nd had quite a year! He kicked off January by turning 25 and celebrating with this experimental piece:
That same month, he teamed up with @Stepford and @milkypossum to create Olive’s Art-Venture, securing the #1 spot in the Pixel Day games category.
In February Andyl4nd gave us 🔴 and 🟡, making me glad we changed our database to UTF-8 back in 2013 to support special characters. He also snagged third place in the Best of February.
Most people would rest on their laurels at this point but Andyl4nd was back in June, sharing a commissioned piece he made for itemLabel AND a Pico Day game, with his previous team of @Stepford and @milkypossum.
In September Andy shared a commissioned piece he made for Combustion.
By now you’re thinking, OK, he’s now done plenty this year. But WAIT! Andyl4nd has also been making a nontraditional point and click adventure game! He’s the creator, artist, programmer, sound designer, and writer, with @Packtion on board as composer. He released a demo in October:
Seeing someone make so much great stuff can be intimidating but also inspiring. I also just realized he hosted a Endacopia Kickstarter that I totally slept on, whoops! I’m glad it did well!
I’ll also note that Andyl4nd and Packtion first worked together on 2021, on SLEEPY TOM.
