i was 50/50 on posting this in my pro-genocide republican candidate thread, but that was intended to be specifically referring to genocide, which this doesn't quite fall under

however, conservatives that aren't 120% pro-Trump or conspiracy brained might want to take it seriously when these people say they're going to kill you, as well

it always starts as rhetoric or jokes (it did for gay and trans folk, too!), so perhaps if you don't want to be killed or imprisoned by psychopathic lawmakers you should maybe possibly not support that party right now

Need some music for a flash or game? Check it out. If none of this works send me a PM, I'm taking requests.

Just came across an article over this nut case:

Ignore Eric Greitens’ violent threats to other GOP Senate candidates? Not an option

The Kansas City Star Editorial Board
Mon, June 20, 2022, 12:24 PM

When children throw tantrums to get attention, it’s often the best bet not to give them what they’re after. But Missouri can’t afford to ignore Eric Greitens’ latest stunt.

The strategists behind his campaign for Roy Blunt’s seat in the U.S. Senate were surely delighted when just hours after they released a repulsive new video depicting him leading a military-style raid on Republicans he deems insufficiently conservative Monday, Twitter flagged it and Facebook removed it. If literally depicting taking up arms against your political rivals doesn’t constitute a violation of the platforms’ rules against advocating violence, nothing does.

“Censorship!” came the immediate whines. As usual, wrong: Social media companies are private enterprises. They are free to police the content their users post. Only governments can censor. And as of this writing, Greitens’ obscenity is still streaming on YouTube and elsewhere on the internet.

The impulse to avert our eyes and hope this will all go away won’t work as a political strategy against the Greitens outrage machine. Many serious conservatives thought the best way to defuse Donald Trump’s clownish rhetoric in the 2016 presidential primary was to starve it of oxygen. After he lost the 2020 election, many hoped that simply not acknowledging his false screams about voter fraud would make him give them up. We know how those stories played out.

Even if Greitens drops out now, that won’t change the fact that he’s debased GOP politics to levels even lower than 25 years of Rush Limbaugh and Fox News’ worst punditry have brought them to. Missouri voters wisely avoided a catastrophe by keeping Todd Akin away from the Senate in 2012 after his ignorant comments about “legitimate rape.” We’re confident that if Greitens holds on in his shameful campaign, they’ll soundly reject him and his vile threats of violence, too.

Kasich says 'even clowns were embarrassed' by Texas GOP convention that included declaration that Biden 'was not legitimately elected' and called homosexuality an 'abnormal lifestyle choice'

John Kasich criticized the Texas GOP after they passed a series of extreme resolutions at their state convention.

They said Biden "was not legitimately elected" and that homosexuality "is an abnormal lifestyle choice."

"Even clowns were embarrassed by what they saw down there," said the 2016 GOP presidential candidate.

Former Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich had harsh words for members of his own party when asked about the Texas GOP's state convention on Monday.

Newly-elected GOP Rep. Mayra Flores once called for Trump to jail Hillary Clinton.

She also said the Jan. 6 attack "surely was caused by infiltrators," suggesting antifa was behind it.

Flores has also shared posts appearing to promote the QAnon conspiracy theory.

Texas Gov. Abbott lauded his state's efforts to 'secure the border.' Hours later, he blamed Biden after dozens of migrants were found dead in a semi-truck.

At least 50 migrants were found dead in the back of a truck near San Antonio, Texas, on Monday.

Texas Gov. Abbott blamed Biden for the tragedy, slamming his "deadly open border policies."

An hour before the discovery, Abbott praised his state's work to secure the US-Mexico border.

I think recent events have increased the likelihood by quite a bit that the Dems attempt to put Trump in prison before the next Presidential election rolls around. Obviously, this would be a huge mistake that would put deep fractures in our already weakened Republic, but I don't think that matters much at this point. They are openly floating the idea on social media, which tells me it's not far out of the realm of possibility. It's just a matter of what they perceive to be the best strategy.

You are bringing up a former president, who more than any other modern president, fractured the country with his divisive rhetoric, culture war on steroids, and led his base to attack the capital on Jan 6th with his election lies.... But you think putting him in prison well fracture the country even more? I doubt it. I suspect it could lead to more violence from the right, while making many Republicans with White House ambitions secretly happy. But fracturing the country that is already fractured, no. I think the US Supreme Court is picking up where trump left off, with even worse polling numbers that we haven't seen in decades.

Some Texas schools may call slavery 'involuntary relocation'

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Public schools in Texas would describe slavery to second graders as “involuntary relocation” under new social studies standards proposed to the state's education board.

A group of nine educators submitted the idea to the State Board of Education as part of Texas' efforts to develop new social studies curriculum, according to the Texas Tribune. The once-a-decade process updates what children learn in the state's nearly 8,900 public schools.

The board is considering curriculum changes one year after Texas passed a law to eliminate topics from schools that make students “feel discomfort.”

You're supposed to "feel discomfort". Slavery is a fucking uncomfortable topic!

But it doesn't mean that you shouldn't teach it, students need to learn the best and worst periods of our history.

I don't think history cares about people's emotions and feelings, and history, specially in public schools, shouldn't be politicized to whitewash certain uncomfortable truths. I say this as someone who enjoys reading history, the good and the bad in it.

Florida offers new training for teachers that says it was a 'misconception' that 'the Founders desired strict separation of church and state': report

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis previously announced a 3-day civics training program for teachers.

Some teachers who attended say they're concerned the training is one-sided, The Washington Post reported.

The training said it's a "misconception" that "the Founders desired strict separation of church and state."

Considering that they conquered a 1/4 of the world after losing the American colonies, Britain would gladly give that colony up for India, Australia and so forth. Plus, the whole proving that democracy can work instead of the constant European monarchical dick sizing wars.

Glitches in any system happen, to simply cherrypick a few events does not refute my earlier point. Condemn the Republican Party all you like, and rightly so, but this isn’t the first time we had to deal with recalcitrant members. 330 million people spread out across a huge country isn’t easy to manage.

What Republicans are planning once they take control of Congress: culture wars, whitewashing, and going after Hunter Biden and Dr. Fauci.

Republicans in Congress lay groundwork for anti-transgender push

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Republicans in Congress are lining up behind legislation that critics say would roll back protections for transgender people, setting a playbook for action on a divisive social issue should they take control of Congress this fall.

Kevin McCarthy and other House Republicans are planning an alternative report on the Capitol attack targeting Nancy Pelosi, Capitol Police and the FBI as the January 6 committee hearings start

House GOP leaders are preparing an alternative report on who to blame for the attack on the Capitol.

Their plan comes as the January 6 committee prepares to hold public hearings on its investigation.

Rep. Jim Banks, who is leading the GOP effort, says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is his prime target.

Top Republican on House Oversight eyes Hunter Biden, Fauci for 2023 probes

If Republicans take control of the House in the next Congress, the House Oversight Committee's top priority will be investigating Hunter Biden, the president's son. That's according to Kentucky Congressman James Comer, the top Republican on the committee, who spoke with CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett for this week's "The Takeout" podcast.

Why does liberty increasingly sound like tyranny?

Moms for Liberty’s conservative activists are planning their next move: Taking over school boards

The organization’s rapid ascension — its leaders say it has nearly 100,000 members across 195 chapters in 37 states — has been driven by the appeal of its core issues among conservatives, including battling mask mandates in schools, banning library books that address sexuality and gender identity, and curtailing lessons on racial inequity and discrimination, its founders say.

In most of these cases it's all about reinforcing doubt over our Democratic system, indicating it's rigged against them in some way, even if they lost by a huge margin, so they don't have to admit it was them or their platform that led them to lose.

It also doesn't help that Republicans have been using similar ideas for the past decade as an excuse to make voting harder, by expanding bureaucracy over who can vote, where and when they can vote, while also gerrymandering the hell out of their states, all to give them an advantage in elections.

Trumpism just took the fear off a rigged system against them much further, even when they most likely now benefit from a system that already gives them an advantage over other candidates of other parties.

It also leads to things like this:

When in reality, it's rigged in their favour, so think about how hard they have to fuck up if they still lose.

I think I will post this, since Republicans love to claim that voter fraud exists as a reason for them to grow bureaucracy over voting to make it it harder for poorer people to vote. And I constantly see cases of Republicans trying to commit it, because they have been conditioned to believe that it's easy to do. But this one case of voter fraud really stands out...

Right-Wing Florida Confab Rips Swastika-Waving Neo-Nazis, Gov. DeSantis Keeps Mum

Organizers of a right-wing conference in Florida denounced a group of neo-Nazis waving swastika flags outside the gathering — but convention speaker Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis hasn’t said a word about it.

The neo-Nazis waving large red flags emblazoned with swastikas and SS symbols gathered outside the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit at the Tampa Convention Center Saturday and shouted racist slurs. They also waved the flag of Florida and another with the slogan “DeSantis Country” — along with a poster featuring DeSantis’ face.

Besides DeSantis, the conference featured speakers including former President Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.).
