As an old-timer who learned how to program on the Newgrounds Forums, I remember a few extremely helpful resources that I think might be good to bring up for folks who are coding in AS2 for the first time, or the first time in a long time.
One such resource is AS Main, a forum thread that was built up over years with a ton of Actionscript 2.0 tutorials.
Lots of the links on the original post were broken, but most link to other Newgrounds threads and you can find valuable info there. The BBS thread is long abandoned, so I copied it to my profile and I'll update the list as I comb it for broken links.

I honestly credited the entire Newgrounds communisty of saving me from 1 suicide attmept, and I'm grateful towards everyone here.

Wow. I never got so many reactions. I’m glad for every ones who keeps Flash alive.
By the way, just wanted to put this out there: for anyone that wants to integrate the NG API for medals or anything, and needs some help that's not provided in the wiki, feel free to reach out to me! I remember having some headaches when I tried integrating it for my submission last year (shameless plug https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/782669 ), and it'd be great to help someone avoid those issues this time around - less time fighting ancient code, more time polishing up your game.

Hi. This would be a problem because I recently got a new laptop and I don't have Flash. Also, Adobe phased out the Flash software in favor of better software like Animate, which I don't know how to use yet, by the way, so that would be a big problem for me. How can I possibly obtain a copy of Flash at a time like this and how do I work it on my laptop running Windows 10? Although I learned to program web sites and code, as well as some other computer stuff, I have no idea how to get Flash and run it for this Jam. Please help out the moment you receive this message. Thanks.
