The fact that I go in depth or desire to is a good thing even if you mean sexually. As far as that and the commenting on the cashier I dont see why it's a bad thing. We are forgetting I EXCLUSIVELY rate A Rated content. You can not seriously try to make it a guideline that it shouldnt be appreciated in an expressed format as to how it turns one on.
That defeats the purpose. As long as I follow the rule of reviewing it legally, then any attachments of comments which are still relevant are fine. And they still matter as part of my overall experience and review from the piece.
What you people are doing would be like telling someone who exclusively rated Horror content to STOP talking about how scared it made you! In fact that's a perfect comparison here. As long as they talk about what counted and rate the content, if it was good on special effects or not, maybe it was lacking of solid story content but had great special effects, but the moment you speak on whether it did its sole job... you're wrong.
You're speaking to no one, really.
You're just drawing more attention to yourself, and causing more of what you are complaining about to happen to you.
I think if theres one thing to take away from this I suppose would be from the perspective of the artist, your comments while true to you, and possibly even objectively true in some situations are probably not welcome and arent going to be recieved well. There will sometimes be exceptions. You have no control over this and theres not really going to be a way to know in advance without asking the artist directly beforehand. I know all types of erotic artist, ones that can barely stand even sharing their artwork out of embarassment, some that revel in any kind of attention, some that are protective of their oc's, some that use masks to hide how they really feel. I would say most on average would be offput by your descriptions, should that make you stop? In my opinion.. no. Art is meant to be witnessed, and part of the agreement to posting it for people to see is to get feedback.
I like that stance. I also am sick of seeing quality artists leave or get driven out seemingly while others who do very similar or dead on mirror image work get to stay...
Anybody you're referring to specifically? I find alot of NSFW artists get upset by the community for not getting enough attention or feedback (amusingly enough) as well as it being a divisive subject matter. Consumers on NG apparently love it, other content creators can be offput or almost militaristically opposed to it. The reason why is because porn gets more attention, this causes all sorts of monkey buisiness within the art creation circle.
I agree with you and I hate that when I go to vote on the best monthly content they ban A Rated content from being listed unless it's an A Rated video from one of those guys that basically post a shitpost of them yelling and I guess it's suppose to be funny, the art is always very very bad as if they are making it obvious they just made any old thing just to get the movie posted and yell jibberish for a short 50 seconds or even 3 minutes. I hate that.
Yet content the likes of which BaronStrap puts out never is allowed to be featured.
I would name names, but I mean these artist literally are gone. Like all the way gone and it's just another situation where some are put off by their works.
For example, let's say that 55 people see an piece put up by Squibkiller88 and it's very hardcore, like extremely hardcore content and 37 of them flag it for being too graphic, but another poster named YoyoDaniels is allowed to publish the same type of content and nothing happens to him. They both have posted multiple works. And you may even get a case where SusyStarlightbreezyface posts TWO posts and is a new artists and she's gone.... no one even knows. And the biggest issue here is consistency.
This is why I also call for a public record of every decision because if we, the public, cant review what has happened and why how can we have any faith in consistency? The messed up part is I've seen things like that that others will never know, but I just happened to be there. So you cant fight in mass something that goes under the radar.
All I've ever asked is for fairness. For a site that prides itself on being against discrimination they fail to see how flagging can be not only abused but how the result of actions taken after such flagging just based on numbers and mob mentality can look bad on the entire site if you have a percentage of posters being dealt with while others are not, not just people who review like I do.
And anyone should ask themselves this question...
If you HAD to choose between "nice job" and my in depth review staying up with details things in a very good way and is good feedback, but maybe 9 people are put off by it which would you keep? I know which one keeps happening...
