You know what's really, really stupid about this whole shitstorm? The UK industry standard for acceptable levels of Listeria in food such as burgers is 100 cells per gram. Ergo, one quarter-pound burger could contain over 11,000 Listeria cells, and no-one at the Food Standards Agency would bat an eyelid at it being sold.
It only takes 1,000 Listeria cells to pose a threat to someone's health, and it has a 20% mortality rate.

But God forbid any meat that isn't beef getting into the beef burgers. THAT's what everyone chooses to flip a shit over.
This is a perfect example of why it's better to not know what exactly is in your food. I swear, if literally everything in it was printed on the labels, people would starve themselves to death.

Who cares if there's horse meat in there? As long as it tastes good..

Really? I think it was as much as about 12%, and there was as high as 25% porcine meat.

You're probably right, I'd only glanced at a few articles as frankly I'm not that bothered by it. I no doubt saw the 25 and assumed that was relating to the horse meat. 12% is still a huge amount of something that isn't supposed to be in there at all though!

We have a new winner! 100% horsemeat in Findus beef lasagne.... not a lot of cow in there then! Seems this is a more widely spread problem than we thought!

Isn't Horse or Deer suppose to be healthier meat compared to Beef which isn't healthy at all?

With all the news coming out atm in the UK, I'm very glad that I stopped eating meat years ago, and I hope that meat eaters here will now use their local butchers more. Avoid those cunts at the supermarkets. Sure they don't make the product but they get it from whoever will make it cheapest and of course corners get cut.
