I was talking to a friend of mine earlier today about his new CD that he released this year. I was interested in purchasing a copy from him, which I did. So then I was thinking, why don't I plug his site on Newgrounds and see if anyone else would like his music and buy some of his CD's. The new one I bought was only $12 via Pay Pal! Hell Wade, it's what I've been doing, the NE michigan scene is happening and since I know a few bands, I offered for them to download some tracks on NG audio that could be used, and they were happy since it's exposure, though a features page of bands might be a better prospect for you.

I am not a big fan of this genre, but these guys are good, I bought the CD for my gf, she is really into this music :)

there are a lot of local artists that could be promoted....mine is one of them! I have 5 of our 10 songs in the audio portal. If you want to help, raise the filesize limit on submissions...some of our songs are 4.5 mins or longer, but I can't upload them because of the limit...

Hmmmm. It's good,i dont really like it but its good.His voice is kind of shitty,yeah,but hes a good singer. Judging from the superb studio recording quality it doesn't really seem like its a local band.

It's not my kind of music but from what I heard, it's pretty decent stuff. The people who are into that genre will definately enjoy it though.

If I had some money I would buy it. Since I just bought Jonny Quest the complete first season.

A little soft for me. He's a pretty good singer. And the songs are more original than a lot of the stuff I hear today. It's soft, yet it has some hardness too it. I'm sure it will sell good.

It is a good idea to help local artists... But are the artists only have to be in your area? Anyways if you do put up such a section dont you think it would kill the whole flash idea on NG? I dont know just wondering..

Is this because CDs are over priced? I'm sure a lot of people are sick of spending $15+ on CD's. CD's are so cheap to produce they should sell them for $5 a piece. Imagine how many people would start buying tons of CD's again if they were $5-10. For $17 people are going to go on Kazaa, for $5-10 people would probably rather have the CD case with the insert, and the higher quality tracks. If AOL can give out millions of CD's for free, the music industry should be able to lower their prices.

I would buy all my CDs if they costed only $5. Most CD's are $15-$18 though and that is just way too much. THere are so many ways to get free music nowadays, lowering the price would actually mean much more profit for music industries.

Brian Donahue has some really good music, but it is not really my type of music. It sounds great though, this should really boost him and might get him pretty popular :)
