What a shit week.
Rankings please Rev.
Watched the Steelers game at Buffalo Wild Wings and nearly started choking on my wings when I saw how shitty things got for Pittsburgh. I was amazed that they got so manhandled in the second half by San Francisco and I'm not looking forward to seeing the rankings for this week. I'm going to bet that it's not gonna look pretty for me. :(

Ohio State gets a one-year Bowl ban thanks to Jim Tressel
Kinda shitty, but I guess it's a fitting punishment. Hopefully once this is over with, the program can get back on track and start kicking ass again.

I actually think that's a good thing. It gives Urban Meyer time to get rid of the crappy players left over from the Tressel era and bring in some real star power. Also, hell be better set up for his first bowl run.
The Bowl/Big 10 Championship ban isn't so bad but losing even more scholarships than the ones OSU already took away is what will affect Urban's recruiting. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of those verbal commitments leave for other schools.
Beef O'Brady Bowl - St. Petersburg is on and it's making me hungry even though there isn't one for 1000 miles.

Not nessacarily, a lot of the crappy players from the last 2 regimes are most likely going to stay. And considering the reduction of scholarships for the next couple of years, chances are Ohio State isn't going to get every 4 and 5 star recruits that they normally got in the past, which possibly means a lower quality of football during that time, and even with only a 1 year bowl ban, some top recruits might be scared off and go somewhere else like Nebraska, Wisconsin or even Michigan. Also, unlike in Florida, Meyer is not inheirting a lot of quality talent other than Braxton, and even then, he's up in the air on how good he can be. At the very least, it's going to take him 2 years to get Ohio State back to playing in BCS bowl games, if that.
All and all, I dare say that the Bucks got off pretty light, considering the severity of their crimes is a lot worse than USC's, and yet the Trojans get thwacked with 2 years and a shitload of scholarship reductions in football. TBH, if it wasn't for the money involved in tv, bowl games and the like, the Big 6 conferences should basically break away from the NCAA and form their own league with their own rules, that way you don't have to deal with sanctions, vacated wins, and other such bullshit. I know that will probably never happen, but it should at least be discussed.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

They will get raped by any elite SEC team until they learn how to play defense.
It may take them a few years to win the national championship, even though Urban Meyer is a great coach.

I wish we could all be like you. Being able to predict that one of the best teams in the NFL might be able to beat one that is mediocre at best. Really takes knowledge to see that one coming!
Damn, I thought the Texans were going to have an easy win tonight but the Colts managed to pull off the upset at the end, which was pretty cool to see.
Dan Orlovsky just cost the Colts Andrew Luck.

Seriously, Texans? First they get torched by Carolina at home, and then they choked against the hopeless Colts team, now I probably know that their win over the Bengals was a fluke after all. And why of all times are the Colts winning, and possibly losing their chance at getting Andrew Luck? I know they're professionals and all, but they're really not thinking about their future, missing out on Luck and settling for something else.
On a more positive note, Kellen Moore notched his 50th win as QB for the My Little Ponies of Boise State. Not to take a dump on his record, but the good majority of those wins were up against glorified FCS programs that few people care about, and who couldn't put up much of a fight against the good SEC or Big Ten teams, much less against Boise St.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

It's going to be fun seeing who will be the goat to pull a Mike Ditka and give up the farm for the first pick like he did for Ricky Williams.
Why would anyone other than the Colts draft Andrew Luck?
Both the Vikings and the Rams already invested in 1st round QBs so the Colts are the only one of the bottom three in desperate need of one.
Unless you guys are talking about trading the pick away to someone else who wants Luck.

From what i'm hearing the price for that #1 pick is the highest it's ever been being worth around 4 first round picks or 3 1st rounds & 2 2nd rounds still either way you can easily rebuild a team very quickly with that one pick if you were the Rams or Vikings plus the Rams already have their quarterback so maybe at least they would be able to get some recievers for him and some O-line and also factor in no Matt Barkley in this draft that pick is all the more valuable so teams like Washington,Miami and others might even go for that trade and sell the farm.
Also just to throw out there i'm 6/6 in Bowl picks so far, great start ^_^
