Composed this last year, while struggling with the Home Office, stuck in a rapist's house, talking to fellow refugee friends and contemplating the mass refugee exodus on crowded barges. Intended as a successor to Tsukikanade, a piece I'd composed some time back.

I played the piano and did the vocals, and had a friend handle the reverb over at Soundskills, the studio / creative place at Brookfield where I volunteer. Then we hit a halt. We didn't have any decent orchestral samples over at the studio at Soundskills. I offered to do the rest myself, and so I did.

Since the first half of production was done on Logic Pro 8 or somesuch, I had the WAV of the original exported and imported into FL11 so I could continue with my soundfont magic. Yes, the messy reverb came from Part 1: piano and vocals. The result is what you hear. The reverb on the original WAV was already excessive, so I decided not to add much more on the extra sounds. It's tough work trying to explain your workflow to someone else, but I'm glad we pulled through, Jason Beardsworth. (my Soundskills friend).
