Reviews for "Xeno Tactic 2"

Good but frustrating

While this game is very well done, there are things that really annoy the player:
1. The algorithm that determines whether you are blocking the only way to the exit with a wall isn't always correct. It kept telling me I would block the path when there were still at least 2 ways the enemies could reach the end.
2. Towers don't always rotate the shortest distance to the targeted enemy. While this may not seem like a big deal, this could cause towers to be too late facing the enemy to fire before the enemy goes out of range. It seems that only when the enemy is really close does the tower take the shortest rotation distance. Otherwise it will turn counter clockwise no matter what until it sees the enemy.
3. The game is hard enough without towers missing. The towers should never miss a shot, especially since there is no stat that will improve their accuracy and therefore no way for the player to prevent a missed shot. All they can do is watch their helpless high powered tower miss an easy kill.
4. The current target of the tower is not always logical. I have had enemies with 1 shot left of health, still within range of the tower, that easily get away. The towers seem to not change their target until the target gets out of range or dies. So if a tower is attacking an enemy who leaves its range, and then loops back into range, it is ignored since by then the tower has a new target. The result is a bunch of weak enemies getting through when at least half of them could have been destroyed had the tower changed to a weaker enemy. If we are not going to have the option of deciding how the tower picks its target, this needs to be improved.
5. I know you say that the dissipator is the answer to the auto-regenerate and other enemies with a special ability, but at $100 each, when are we given a chance to buy one? It is hard enough building defenses with the money we are given and earn through waves let alone save up and shell out $100 and still hope to stop the next wave.
6. While the walls aren't too expensive, they can drain your funds. I think they should be around $7 or $8 instead of $10.
7. The order in which the waves are organized seems to difficult. We have air units, then ground enemies with incredible defense, then another set of air units. This is all on easy! This means we need to have money for proper air defense, beef up our ground defense, then somehow have cash left to again improve our air defense. My question is...how?
8. In addition to that, the number of waves that involve those ground units (the red and white colored ones) that have very high defense are way too high for the whole level to be considered easy on difficulty. Cut back on the number of hard waves and maybe the player can have some extra funds to make the whole level really feel like it actually deserves to be called easy.
9. As mentioned in 5 and 6, some towers cost too much. You have to pay $200 for a devastator that barely beats the first wave on easy without a damage boost. And must have a damage boost to beat the second wave.
10. Due to the high health of some of the waves, upgrading anything other than damage is pointless. I mean, I like the fact that we are given a choice of what to upgrade but like I said, that choice seems pointless the more you play the game as damage is the only thing that matters.
Like another reviewer said, I am sure you know how to beat your game, but personally I have been playing for like 3 or 4 days and have played MANY defense games before and I still can't get past easy. I'm sure some people can, but I would be willing to bet that the majority of people find this game too difficult. Difficulty isn't always (or shouldn't always) be top priority when developing a game. And if it says noob, very easy, easy, beginner, whatever...make sure most people find it to be noob, very easy, etc. Don't put that it is easy because YOU think it is.
I will still give you an 8 because it is obvious there was a lot of work put into this game and I don't think it would be fair to rate low because of a few annoyances.

Sweet tactic game

I like the new upgrading type, only thing is though e.g if you upgrade speed for the first time, you still have to pay $10 to upgrade damage for the first time.

Other than that sweet game.

!!YES!! very_good_game!! its hard to BEAT!!!! O_o

OMG

The first one was very addicting!!!! This is so more complex >_>. The 3 upgrade types was very nice, and this is hard to know all the variants. I should spent The time like the first one. xD.. btw: omg , they are tresspasing... so noob. x_x
