Needs to be balanced
Love the new graphics and new look. Game still plays great and works like it is supposed to [no noted bugs]. However the game needs some serious balancing work. The original had a near perfect difficulty curve with level one being simple and easy and level 6 being damn near impossible [lv 82 is my record >.<]
This one I barely passed level one and was being completely overwhelmed in level 2 very quickly. Im not saying the game is too hard, I'm saying its way too hard at the start. I would expect that level of difficulty in the last level or 2, not one labeled "noob."
That said the rest of the game is great. New weapons are always welcome, and I really like the idea of building walls that you can place turrets on. Id also suggest making more then one turret that can shoot air. The basic turrets could shoot ground and air in the first, but only ground now. Having to build air towers at the start of the game because the vulcans couldnt cover my ass for the first wave or 2 of flyers seemed to be my choke point every time.
So all in all its a great game that just needs a bit of tweaking. Ironically the first was near perfect and was labeled beta...this was labeled final and played like a beta :P

Decent graphics, slow gameplay, simple dynamics. Unbalanced at times.

Good Idea, But...
The new weapons are good, and the custom upgrading was a great idea but the game is way to hard, it's impossible to build up your army to fend off the Aliens for long. Please nerf (Weaken) the Aliens HP if possible please. I'm looking forward for XT3
Good graphics, okay game
First off, the graphics are outstanding. No problems there. My chief complaint is, high-end turrets are overpriced for their effectiveness. For less than the price of a level 1 plasma cannon, I can buy a level 10 vulcan turret, which is far more effective. You know, why have nothing while you wait for $250 to build up, when you could put down $20 for a vulcan turret and have it work for you while you build it up to level 10, whereupon it's STILL more effective than the $250 gun? The more expensive guns should offer a power premium for the short-term sacrifice required to get them.
