Reviews for "Gekisen card game"

Nice idea but...

You should improve the battle system because I simply had no movements in sometimes because there are few offensive cards.

ok

This game is kinda frustrating but it has its moments. Lot of cards, and possibilities. The other guy who says its like maganic is a retard, these are two different games. Anyways the only true original card game on the internet is battletrolls.

unfair

Yes, it's an unfair game, not only becouse it's only about luck, but becouse even luck is altered somehow. Becouse I can't belive it to be normal, that during a tournment the enemy almost always has the right card in the right time, and one single enemy can decrese my hitpoints from 118 to 33, and I don't get a chance to rebuild it even in the next fight! And how the hell can I become permanently poisoned? Ok, maybe that poison thing is just a bug, but then the same should happen to my enemy sometimes too.
The trainings are ok, I never lost one, but how am I supposed to win a tournment when I never get decent cards?

Could have been great

I was really excited about playing this game, as I love strategy card games. At first I was impressed, but then several things started to reduce the amount of fun I was having. Bugs for a start; there are several. Most annoying is the one where the enemy discarding cards causes you to have to make your next move without receiving a new card. Next is the slightly less frequent times when bleeding cards don't work.

Tournaments are all over as soon as the AI plays a bleed or epidemic card, making them practically impossible unless you're exeptionally lucky. The game doesn't allow you to level up or improve in any way except for winning tournaments, which I think I mentioned were impossible.

The inability to create a custom deck (christ I'm sick of having 5 useless cards in my hand) is frustrating and a real barrier to developing a personal startegy, as a lot of matches are won or lost based on your first 6 cards and a lot of the time you find yourself starting with a hand full of cards that can't have no effect (steal armour when the AI has none). This means you have to spend several turns playing away the useless cards, waiting for good ones that don't really turn up very often.

The bleed effect is a nice idea, but doesn't work too well in the game as the healing cards to stop it seem to be reluctant to appear when you're bleeding. This often means that the AI is able to play a bleed card, and sit there making stupid moves while it waits for you to slowly die. It's ridiculously high health (after a few belts) means it can make stupid choices and still win, while the human player can make the best possibe moves given their crappy cards and still get slaughtered.

In summary, its a good idea, but there are a lot of problems that need addressing. I won't hold my breath though as the "Community" link is now dead and I doubt the author will be making another. Shame, the game could have been great, and a sequel would have gotten me very excited.

Poor

Interesting card fighting strategy game but horribly executed. The damage system is simply based upon some internal code that makes it completely inefficient leaving strategy at the door. I also found that the randomization of your card influences your loss. This doesn't strike me as a strategy more of luck. Also how does the combat work? I send an attack command with 10 damage and the enemy took no damage with no armor and dishes 15 to me? This game seems broken completely and is enjoyable for a minuscule amount of time.
