Reviews for "Gekisen card game"

bug with strategy card

doesn't work...and it freezes the game pretty much...computer or user seems to do the same thing...you can still click around and hear the sounds...and the music still goes...etc but the game doesn't continue on

urbanprophet responds:

Should be working now :)

fuck no

first off, there's spelling mistakes which just really made my day today, secondly some cards don't work right. Stunning the enemy, instead of waiting for me to play the stunning would just end after time, as if I made two moves, I'd have to repeatedly click cards for it to work in the end. Other times strategy cards would still fail, even though you said you fixed it. There weren't enough attack cards, most cards were useless, e.g. whenever the hazusahsif or what they are called where close to zero I would get shit that bases on that, then at some point I actually had a hazunibhgl of about 40, what happens, no fucking cards I can use with it. It just took about 72346759 hours to beat one character, there was no strategy to follow because it took too long too wait for the right cards. Also sometimes shit like decrease defense for one turn wouldn't work because it would have to decrease so next turn I can attack with the opponent's def at 0 but it went up again just before my attack...
Overall it was bad, it just wasn't fun, no storyline no nothing, no way to upgrade cards or what do I know, I don't play pokemonster and that yugi dxo8654339 or whatever all that shit is called.

urbanprophet responds:

Sir_l33t_haxX0r_0mG_StFu or whatever you’re called, the cards you mention works.

Not having the right cards is part of the game. Just picture poker if everybody had all the cards they need.

Decrease defence has its utilities in conjunction with other cards. You just didn’t figure this out yet.

Anyways thanks for bashing my game, but based your other reviews, You seem to be the type of guy who would say that a chess game would lack of storyline or upgrade. Stick to your sim date bud.

The game is pretty hard, the RNG seems a little unforgiving, but with a little more updating, I think you have something here, it's a cool concept.

I know you can do better...

this is a cool freakin' game... i love it.... i play it all the damn time because other games are lame and easy and this one isn't.... the only thing I have a problem with is that it seems like it's programed to work out in the computer's favor... no matter how good a hand i get.... the computer has one better..... also, there is a glitch.... whenever the computer uses the card that allows him to discard 1 or 2 cards..... he only loses the one card that says it allows him to discard.... but instead i am forced to discard a card or 2 instead of him.... any way.... very cool game.... i'd like to see what you'd come up with next....

Great Idea, just needs some tuning

I really liked the idea for this game the first time i played it, but the tiny and numerous flaws kind of blew my enjoyment away. A couple things that bothered me (which i'm sure have been mentioned before) had to do mostly with just the gameplay.
The thing that probably bothered me the most was the fact that when you lost in a belt trial, you actually went down a belt instead of just having to refight the battle, and losing a battle isnt very difficult in Gekisen. Maybe instead of bringing a person down a belt when they fail a trial, players could be given a different incentive to not lose like opening bonuses or special trials the fewer losses you have.
The second thing that bothered me was the bleeding effect. It's a good addition, but the player shouldn't be able to die from it. Like, their health can be reduced to 1, but it can't reach zero.
Another problem was the 'one turn' status cards. They seemed pointless, since around the time your next turn came around, the card's effect is dispersed.
Besides these flaws and some others, the premise is good and I like the hand illustrated cards. If remade, i bet it could be a 10.
