Reviews for "Wyze - Tears of a Child"

Forced

I think the vocals sound a little to forced and you need to calm down and maybe try it in a little more of a regular-speech voice. idk...I can't really explain what I mean, I just think you should drop your voice a little, you know, make it sound a little more melancholy and emotional. I like it otherwise

Blasphem-E responds:

Ya, as I've said, I'm still working on the voice. I'll keep your suggestions in mind though. Thanks for the review

The Ideea was good
But not really my style
Anyway i give you an 7/10 for trying

Blasphem-E responds:

thanks for the review

not bad

the beat was great and it had a perfect mood to fit the lyrics, kinda reminded me of some Lupe Fiasco stuff.

the big issue is the vocals *sorry*
but, you should probably get a better studio setting for recording, and probably practice breathing timing and toss a bit of post processing on the vocal tracks

great potential though

Blasphem-E responds:

Honestly, the studio setting was not at fault here. I have a fairly decent set up. What was at fault was how far from the mic I stood, and my lack of patience in finding the right voice

Ehh..

First of all, it's better then i could do. I know that.
But... the lyrics sound too forced to be honestly good. Like you're trying to rush the words into the music. Plus, while the lyrics are good, I can't really hear any emotion in your voice- like you're reading the lyrics off a page while you're singing. It's very mechanical.
My other negative comment, these kinds of raps come off a lot better when you have some experience with the situation, and seeing as the kid is (as I understand it) dead, at the end- you've written more of a story then a history. Not to say that a story isn't good, but all the great songs end up being about the singer and something he's gone/going through.

Blasphem-E responds:

It's difficult to do songs emotionally because you have to go over them enough times until they're memorized. My first couple of takes were more emotional, but had mechanical problems, so it's a hard line to walk

Great Lyrics

I almost never listen to rap or hiphop, etc, and in fact, I rather hate it, but I happen to admire the lyrics of this one. The beat's good, the lyrics are fantastic, but the voice doesn't fit, in my opinion, and the way the lyrics are sung, just dont quite match, as others have pointed out.

I say congrats on weaseling a seven out of someone like me who doesn't like this genre to begin with. ;D

Blasphem-E responds:

Glad you could at least look past your dislike of the genre
