Well, I'd like to nominate myself...not to be a pompous ass but because I really would like some more criticism and encouragement, whatever the case may be. So, I guess I tell you guys about me???

I've been in to music most of my life, my dad being a solo singer/songwriter, but didn't start writing my own stuff until 2 days before Christmas, when my copy of Reason 4.0 arrived in the mail :)

My style started out very dramatic and varying as I tried to find my style, but once I wrote the song "Black Moon", in which I poured out my life, it started to become clear. I still banged around blindly for a bit, but the songs "Amnesiac" "Wander in Wonder" "Gruvin' Guru" and "La Baila de los Muertos" (not so much that last one but the evolution is still there) are an example on where I'm going, and I love it.

I call myself an electronic artist because, even though I'm finding my style, I STILL don't know what to call it. One of my heaviest influences is Shpongle, however, and they're listed under Trance so...yeah...that's what I've been filing myself under until I figure it out. My friends and family say, oddly, that it reminds them most of classical music. Something about the arrangement and composition, I dunno.

Hope I haven't gone on too long...I always feel ashamed when I talk about myself lol...

I found a new techno artist that has some pretty good stuff, and I would like to nominate him at least so he can get some ratings and such. He is foreign probably so don't use big words haha.

Hello I am DJ Divinorum and I'd like to Nominate myself, mainly because well I am an underdog.

I started getting into electronic music around the age of 14, first I was mainly into the mainstream of trance like Darude, Ferry Corsten, and Armin Van Buuren, though I still like them my tastes has deferred as I started getting into Yoji Biomehanika, DJ Demolic, Basshunter, Noisia, and a few more select artists.

My early years of composing music started at the age of 15, when I started getting interested into making my own music for my own select taste, as I still do today. After awhile I started getting a good knowledge on how to use the program, and then I adopted my own student who today calls himself "DJ Splatta" though his recognition of course would be through the roof since he is within the "Clock Crew."

Programs I use are mostly FL Studio, Audacity, and a few VST Plugins, as well as battery sample packs and that.

I'll respond to reasonable reviews if they give a point as to why they like or dislike it rather than just saying nice job.

I had heard about the Underdog list and I just now decided to look into it, and I think whoever started this is brilliant!

Anyway, I would like to nominate two people.

First is ChronoDestiny. He does alot of videogame remixes, but they are BY FAR much better than the avergae posts you usually see on NG, and I think he desrves much more attention than what he recieves. Check out his song that is aFFVIII remix of laguna beach.

And the next is an artist named Jedidiah. He is more of a classical composer so I don't know how many people will look into that but.. Here are two that he made that I found were quite nice.

This is Ethalyn, been using FL for about 6 months. 15 and from Norway, and you know them Norweigens get good. Now not all the stuff is up to standard yet, but I this guy is going to do great. Has had more exposure lately, but still qualifies as an Underdog.

Here's the basics. I'm 20. I've always been a rock listener and I'm a drummer of 15 years, but about 2 or 3 years ago I started getting into techno and dance music. (so my understanding of it is still very limited)

Back then, I really liked the idea of creating music all from my computer (since I'm always on it) and requiring 0 microphones, mixers, or anything. Just a program and a good PC.

Thus, I bought FL Studio. I think that was about 1 1/2 years ago, and it's been hard learning it, but that's about all I use right now.
I recently purchased Reaktor 5, but I'm so far from being able to do anything useful with it, I may not be incorporating it into any music for awhile. (if you're a pro at reaktor, do PM me if you're willing)

So yeah! That's me!
I do plan on micing my drumset sometime in the near future (mics are expensive), and at that point, I'll be recording myself for percussion in my techno songs instead (for some anyway). I'm curious how that will sound...

Hey, it's another self nomination everyone! I'd like to nominate me just to see if I've got what it take to be on the list.

I started with a (cracked) copy of reason 2.5. I abandoned that for a while but a year later I started again and got the hang of it. Then I bought reason 3.0. I was making horrible stuff (I can't believe I still have some of that crap lying around) and I wasn't getting anywhere. But I stuck to it and ordered my free copy of Reason 4 since we bought Reason 3 after they announced v4. I've been making progress ever since. Constantly improving on my mixing, mastering, and production, I finally approve of my own work.

I'd like to nominate myself, which is shit and self-serving but I wouldn't imagine being put forward otherwise.

I'm an old fart compared to the average age, being 28. I got into performing music though drumming years ago... I've been in a few bands in my time and I'm currently drumming in a supergreat cover band with lots of talent around me.

I picked up a guitar about a year ago and taught myself a few chords... without planning it I began to write songs that I would classify in the genre of "crap rock"... they are songs that I attempt to make people laugh with... humorous lyrics with simple rock riffs behind them. I got the itch to record some of them and i've posted a few here. All the instruments in my songs are played by me "live" except for the drums on a couple of the older ones, before I got enough mics to record a whole kit.

Not all my audio posts are funny songs. I've posted a couple of cover songs I recorded of my band plus I've done some death-growls for a FarCryDX track. I'm self nominating for my amusing music, not those others... so ignore "Welcome to Hell" "Tush" and "Joker and the Thief" in the context of my Underdog submission.

I just really began writing things that I think people like... My last song, "Issue" was my first work that took me a long time to write and i think i made a neo-modernistic-classical epic (i mean that like rock epic, not that it's amazing). I think my newest song is my personal best to date.

Anyway I use FL8 for all my work now but I still do some stuff in Guitar Pro 5. I've been writing music for about a year now but i think i'm just now starting to understand my style.

Background :

Well, Technically I joined NG a long time ago... 3/12/06 to be exact.
But, I ended up leaving NG without much say. I just kinda left.

I would suppose I got fed up with being Zero'd so many times. Most of my most amazing songs never went through much. The only song that stood out a LITTLE got famous after I left... Makes me sad.

I used to be Sylacone, but I restarted after obtaining something. You can call it a change of mind, a idea of whatever. The way I made things changed, my sound changed. I like the way I used to sound, but I love what I sound like now... Which is another reason why I'm posting here.

If you would like to know why I left..... Here comes a story.

Before obtaining anything, I had to lose it all first. I started out in '06 as DJ-KyDryve. Posh, that was actually quite fun, but once again, I wasn't known by anyone but my immediate friends.

Honestly, my music sucked. Did I care? Nope. I enjoyed the fact that I could share with my friends.
Eventually, "That got boring".

So I thought about what I could change... And started under the name Sylacone. I stayed a LONG time, but once again, I got fed up with being Zero'd. Now I'm just myself... No fancy names, no DJ-Blahblahblah. No super psyke'dup psykadellik-mygodmynameissocool whatever. Just my simple name. Once again, I sound different... but here I am, Kyle Juresic
