I think BlazingDragon would be a good choice. Possibly not considered underdog material by this list's standards, but I'd say his work is worthy of more recognition than its getting.

This guy NEEDS to be on the underdog list. His music is unbelievable.

I know that a least one of his songs, Syntology, has been on the front page, but that was a while ago, and I think he's way underrated. Three of my favorite tracks by him are Zero Level, Electric Nipple Clamps, and his newest, Particle Wave. For the uniqueness of his music, and the amount of quality stuff he has here on Newgrounds, I think he is underrated.

It's been a very long time, but the Underdog list has been updated, check it out if you want to see all the nominations made in the last while. Honestly, there weren't a whole lot of people at first being chosen at first, so I wanted to wait until a bunch more people were listed. Also I'm busy and stuff. But now there is enough though people, and I don't have to look at the same people when I look at the UnderdogList account now!

Enough rambling, here is the new list!

I've had this kid nominated before but he absolutely needs another go. I would like to see rawrthaas on the list a second time.

The songs this time around are Ascended, The Splash Sequence, and Genesis Blue.

Ascended scarred the shit out of me when I first listened to it. Primarily because rawrthaas labeled it as "ambient." I turned up my headphones to relax and enjoy the chillness. An atmospheric pad comes in for the first half second, then the thing shifts almost immediately to a "Downtempo ultramelodic break-beat." At least that's what he calls it. Scarred the shit out of me. Also, I was really high... anyways, this track is absolutely amazing. The drums are extremely dramatic throughout the track. A simple rhythm for a drummer, but I wouldn't expect an electronica artist to think of it. The melodies of this track melt together pretty swell. It has everything you'd expect from rawrthaas. Trancy leads, heavy drums and awesomeness. Also, for those that actually listen to rawthaas, you can catch his classic IDM drum style break at around 2:11.

The Splash Sequence is quite simply a short dnb splash sequence made for flash artists and the such to use as intros and what not. Simple, but effective.

Finnaly, we come around to Genesis Blue, a dnb track with hints of idm, break beats and a whole lot of sass. Get some nice headphones/ speakers and check that crechendo at 00:43. Fucking orgasmic. A great track if you give it the time to grow on you. Meow mix.

If I feel like giving this thread a bit more love I'll do another for one of my other mega favs, but only if the thread gets a little more attention. I kind of feel like what this thread needed was some time to recover. We went out and found all the underdogs too fast. Maybe there are some new ones out there right now that we don't know about ;)

Oh, almost forgot. The splash sequence was favorited by Tom... regardless the track hasn't really garnered much attention. If it's good enough to make newgrounds creator/ supreme audio portal ignore master listen in, it's good enough for you.

This guy is an amazing artist. Many people on Newgrounds don't listen to this kind of music. It's too bad really, this guy really composes and plays the music well.
Defiantly worth being on the list.

I signed up for NG a month ago, mainly to submit/rate audio. I play guitar, drums, bass, piano, almost anything. For my music though, I usually only play guitar. I'd like to nominate myself :P Let's see, I've been interested ever since I decided to ditch my piano lessons and start playing from scratch, back when I was 10. My father had an old concert grand that I played on a lot as a kid. Now look at me! Making real music :D Nowdays I compose audio for short films and commercials, and submit the things I do for fun to NG. Everything make is very classical. As far as software goes, I use and old copy of Reason (2.4) and a Roland XP-50 keyboard. I've really been bothered because I've submitted 25 songs, and the most reviews that I have on any of them is 5. I need more feedback so that I can improve my work :D My profile can be found here:

Dunno man... I think all he did was take the original and transpose some similar sounding synths/drums on top so that he could get some of those fills... it just sounds too much like the original. The mastering is kind of bland, but I think it's because the original track is right under the mix... just my thoughts though. I could be way off.

I too would like to nominate myself, though only a small portion of my work is on NG thus far, I plan on adding many more metal and DnB tracks soon.

I've been playing guitar for around 5 years, piano for 3, drums for 3, and bass for 4. I have always been a bit of a metalhead, but recently have been growing more and more into DnB, Darkstep, and Breakcore. I've been writing my own music for my band for around 2 years, and making electronica for the past month, mostly teaching myself how to use FL Studio which I recently aquired. I think that electronica definetely isn't my strong suit at this point, but I hope to improve.

Hello, I'm O'Neil (aka Smurfbeatz/NewTestament) and I am nominating myself for Underdog. I produce mainly hip-hop, but my genres increase to classical, techno, video game and R&B. I've been using FL Studio for about4-5 years now. I play piano and flute and have perfect pitch. I live in Canada and no, I don't live in an igloo.

I'd like to nominate mjattie for his ambient music. His most recent song, Forgotten Tears is quite impressive. The piano sequencing in there is incredibly well done; the velocity of every note is tweaked wonderfully. It sounds very natural and organic. Not many audio artists spend so much time to make the piano sound realistic. :)

I've been on this website for a pretty damn long time, since '05 but I didn't start making music until last year December (I've played around with Fruity Loops for the longest time though). When I downloaded the Reason trial and YouTube'd all the Reason tutorials you could find, well I became very interested. For Christmas, my dad was kind enough to dish out some cash for my M-Audio Axiom 25 (which I'm still using even if its only got 25 keys) and then we saved enough cash to get the full version of Reason which was $449 when we bought it at Guitar Center. Lately, I picked up the Educational version of Cubase and we are working on purchasing the Garritan Personal Orchestra.

I hope to one day be a video-game composer (inspired primarily by Jesper Kyd),
Now, Newgrounds has been incredible at helping me get better by trying to make better music for each week, disappointingly enough I get almost no reviews or maybe 1 or 2 and that's it, and then maybe some votes once in a while.

This was fine for a while, but now that I'm really trying to get to a new level of good, I need some serious feedback.

So that's it, that's my nomination plea!
