I'd validate both Shikakapoop and SREvol. Both deserve a little love.
- Also nominating Nostromer. A relative new comer to the AP that will soon be getting many fans! Excellent work if you're into his style.

So I haven't posted any new tunes in about a month but I've been busy with my new job. What's sweet about the new job is that I'm in Online Promotions and will be doing all music for any future promo games for the company.
Which means I'll get to do all sorts of fun, bouncy kid's music since the company, Corus Entertainment, owns a lot of kid's TV stations. I've gotten to do contract work for kid's music before and it's hella fun so I'm looking forward to doing more.
A bit about my music history... I started playing piano at the age of 6 and was taught by the most fascist woman you can imagine. The sound of a metronome literally sends shivers down my spine. :P I quit piano at 11 and picked up a guitar. I took classical guitar for about 5 years and then started playing bass. Was in a couple small high school rock bands but then started playing around with the keyboard due to my fascination with synths and music programs (having just downloaded Fruityloops).
I played with Fruityloops until College when I started using a program called Orion. Finally after two years with Orion I got myself a computer fast enough to run my favourite program, Reason. I've been using it ever since. You can actually find the first two tunes I did in Reason up in my newgrounds audio page, Buffalo Rider and Both Sides of the Moon.
I don't really have a style of preference though more or less everything I make is pretty heavily influenced by video games and rock. My musical creations are generally a combination of trance, breaks, house, funk and rock, even when I dabble in Drum N' Bass you can still hear those elements in my songs.
I'm voting myself Underdog because, well, no one else will. :p

i feel like an underdog, i want to nominate myself. most of my songs have good scores for a while, but it almost seems like someone downvotes them. I havent submitted anything for a while because im starting to wonder if theres really any point.
anyways
I record all of my music myself in my room and everything is real(cept for the synth of course).
I do pretty much all of my mixing work on adobe audition 1.5
Ive been playing music for about 4 years but ive only had training on the drums, and a bit of theory.
even if i dont make any lists id sure like a bit of attention, cus it sure feels like i work hard on my stuff.

Why has everyone nominated themselves?
Why do people still nominate themselves after others have been made fun of for nominating themselves?
I think all the self whoring has defeated the purpose of the thread, as well as if anyone actually nominates someone else the effectiveness of the thread probably has worn off because its tiring to read through so many posts of self whoring.... ness.

For nominating yourselves there is Audio Advertisements!
I nominate:
No1r - a complex musician taking chance on almost every music style, he is actually studying classical guitar.
Spamwangler - quite a new face, an original artist, playing double bass, bass guitar, guitar, ukulele and some percussion, very interesting music.
Sonofkirk - a young virtuoso guitarist, mostly playing metal, somehow his style reminds me of Alex Skolnick.
BaraPaLastas - an awesome Swedish Funk/Nu-Jazz band.
SSM-NW - Probably the best jazz artist around

I'd like to nominate my friend race1, he's one of the tow friends that got me started making music. He likes to experiment with many styles and just go with the flow. As for the song, I chose Mysterious Roots. It's a classical/ethnic style tune that just really makes me feel relaxed.

I'd like to recommend Dudidum for his song Into the Light. It's his entry for this month's MAC and it showcases some spectacular piano playing. The feeling of this piece shines as it develops.
I will say that it's lengthy, but for those who adore piano ballads, it's an amazing song. Give the intro some time to develop, the song picks up after a bit.
Anyways, check out the song, it's awesome.

Hmm, I just came across this today...should've done this sooner :S
Well, I nominate myself, Kazmo
I've been signed up to NG since early 2006, and posted a lot of stuff back then. I actually just got back to NG late September of this year, so I've been MIA for 2 years. I just needed a break from this place, but now I'm back, and I've improved my techniques quite a bit.
Yay, some history. I've been playing the piano since the age of 4 and have stopped taking lessons a few years ago. I got up to grade 9 piano, but I can also play some grade 10 pieces from the Royal Conservatory series. I've been in several bands throughout my high school life. I'm in uni right now and am in the Concert Winds at the UoG, playing the Bass Clarinet.
Now some more meaningful history. I've been using FL since late 2005, or perhaps early 2006. FL5 was what I used back then. Then when FL6 came out I really liked the Multi Channel Compressor, really saved the day/projects. With the release of FL7 I was overwhelmed by the quality and new Parametric EQ 2. FL8 is by far the best with the new Maximus compressor/limiter/gate, as well as the Limiter. I use the Maximus for my master compressor, really adds oomph and depth to my songs, heck, I even made my own preset master channel that houses a P EQ 2 and Maximus, tweaked of course.
My latest projects are only a few months old, and were made on my Laptop, unless I said otherwise, then they were on my PC for a while and I decided to upload them. A few saw the light on the front page for a few days, which shocked me.
I honestly could care less about the scores, as long as people leave comments I'll be really happy.
Thanks in advance.
Kazmo

Self nominations
"Like the old Underdog List, you WILL be allowed to nominate yourself. However, to prevent this from turning into a spamfest, there are some rules to follow:
- No posting links to your songs
This isn't the Audio Advertisement thread. You can post links to your profile only, and the rest of NG will decide what songs of yours to showcase.
- Tell us about yourself
Give us a bit of history! How long have you been doing music? What programs do you use?"
:Isn't that what I just did?

hey guys,
just saw this post one day, and i have been a staunt member of newgrounds for years, and as conceited as this may sound, i nominate myself...
LOL. hopefully one day someone will consider me worthy enough to be nominated for this, but please guys these self nominations are a lame e-penis that doesn't really matter. make music becuase you want to a) enjoy making music or b) better your music, get exposure, make a living off of it. don't base your music identity on your e-penis. you can always make new music.

312 votes
3,990 listens

you are by no means legible for underdog. You get your slice of attention. I will be trying to bring this back from the dead, perhaps start using some of these for front pages

I'd Consider myself an underdog. I barely got any reviews on my music and I really wish I had. I love being critized even if its bad critizism.
Enough of that. I play guitar. And I recently started using RiffWorks. My first were recorded with kristal then I realized RIffWorks is better. And now I use RIffWorks, I only have two songs made from it.
I use guitarport to record. I want review mainly, whether its good or bad, I want reviews, as long as they aren't spam.... I only recently started recording. I have a year of experience wth guitar, and I really loved to play so I bought an electric with some recording equipment to start. I plan on Recording more in the FUture, and also fixing up the old songs I made through Kristal.

Greetings everybody!
I'm relatively new in submitting music to the Audio Portal. I've been around though, listening and reviewing a lot.
I taught myself how to play the piano and I have been doing so for about 8 years. One of the favorite things for me to do is compose. And since I do compose, I wish to share my music.
My music is mainly limited to piano solely because I haven't had time to learn how to use Fruity Loops. Also, the recording quality for my songs are less than desirable because of my lack of recording equipment, but I am looking to upgrade soon.
I hope people will listen to my songs. Please review so that I can improve!
Enjoy!
-HFX ^_^
