Seriously, if you play video games, you have no life.

No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

You're spending hours of your life devoted to some trivialized task based solely on repetition and hollow achievements. You practice and practice, and you beat some game and then you'll have to do the same thing with the next title.

And it's even worse online. You always try to be good, but chances are you'll never be the best. You will ussually just be some slob trying to scrape by in a world where everyone is better than you.

It's hurdle after hurdle, and then eventually you become too old to continue and yo discard all you discs, cartridges, and consoles and move on.

What a waste.

I could make the argument that life's nothing but a hollow, meaningless series of achievements based on arbitralily assigned goals and responsibilities, coupled with survival instinct, and that in the end achievements considered real are just as meaningless, or I could just go back to playing my video game and not worrying about it.

That's why I got the fuck off halo 3 online, I'll never be good at it, bedsides there are too many "team killers".

I also have a job. I'm occasionally in the film business. I have a great girlfriend. Lots of great friends, online and off. I've written some short stories. I'm gonna start filming my own short film in January, and I've been in Fencing and Kung-Fu classes. I've read lots of books, seen lots of movies, I draw, and I sometimes even write poetry. I'm about to be 17, and I'm about to go to an art college.
