in the audio portal, don't make it so that we can vote on the songs everyday. Cuz now the authors are just fiving their own songs, and nobody else is voting on them. until the AP gets more exposure, i just think that it should go back to the old way of voting once. just my opinion ^^

My favourite part would have to be the user pages, and the layout in general.

My least favourite would be the navbar. It's still nice, but I think the old one looks better and still suited the new layout/style.

Hey Tom is it possible to get an approximate roadplan? Because you said that not everything was going to get launched at the same time.

Here are some features ideas:

- Quick reply feature in the forums.

- Subscriptions to flash and audio artists; as in you get notified when they release something new.

-Sentbox for the PM system, sometimes I get confused whether I have sent something or not.

Least favorite:
The BBS topic list just has too much space. Needs to be compacted, IMO.

The best part is definitely the user pages, massive improvement on the old profiles. The levels are a bit better, too, but not massively so.

The worst part is definitely the navigation bar. The font on the buttons looks thin, the old one was better, and the text links above would look better if they were a bit smaller.

Good: User pages, they're fun.

Bad: Everything you guys haven't fixed yet.

I like the new front page style, due to its half-merger with the flash portal contact, and the more clear appearance of the audio portal. Also the seperation of film and game is very neat.

I enjoy that the help pages are now so build, that you scroll through the text instead of jumping towards another thing. I enjoy this very much.

As said, in the other forum though I seem to be unable to PM now, where I could before. If it requires lower security on your computer (I do not know, I am unable to find references towards it), I am not quite in favor of it.

Another problem is flashes. I used to be able just to click on play game or video, now I have to click on pop-up. If this is because of the need for less protection on the browser, I am (yeah repetitive, but you asked for opinion) not in favor of it.

I also feel there is a slight lack in the update of the explanation page. I found out that there are now five different aura's, but I do not know what the current difference ought to be between evil & dark and light and fab. I assume in between forms, but either there are too many click throughs you need to go to find it or it is not there.

I also have the feeling you are not entirely done with the update, or so it seems. Why? Well, as said by others you can't access everything in your account anymore and neither are all rankings there.

As I've explored a lot of the new features, I've grown to like it quite a lot.
There was a fear of not enjoying the new appearance, but I liked it immediately, very impressive.
Some of the smaller new features are what I really appreciate, like in-page submission loading and voting, being notified of new PM's and being able to check for new reviews for my submissions, which makes like a lot easier.

The new userpage content, is going to kick ass however, all nice little personalised spaces that you can even socialise a little it, it's not gonna be myspace, just a nice little blog.

Anyhow, many nice small features, I appreciate them greatly and I may even get into the B/Ping mood again, it's gonna be a bit harder though with some of the changes, no more beloved castvoting for me.

Hmmm...My favorite part would have to be the user pages because like some people have said, its like having your own mini-website. Also, the staff page was really overdone. Found a few easter eggs on it though. Least favorite part would have to be the bugs that show icons on and off. And the loss of ping from voting.

I have to say the audio portal is fantastic, the visualiser on each song is awesome. Nice job whoever coded that :)

i love the new layout, and im sure once you get everything sorted out we will never look back.
it was a little confusing to start with and im sure we will get more questions then ever coming from new users.. but thats always the case anyway and im sure that will be dealt with.

overall though the new layout is amazing and im really getting into some of the new features..
so many new pictures to play with in the userpages is hours of time wasting.

I love it all Tom. Most people will just say that, but after sorting out some login problems, I simply love it all.

Least favorite part:
The new look on the topic list on the BBS. It looks.... weird.

I love the new audio portal, those visualizers totally rock. I can't wait to see PsychoGoldfishes new chat neither, basically I love the new site. I really like the new code, it makes the site sleeker in a special way (the cool fading effects, instant comment posts etc). I do have a minor bitch though, I think the navigation bar kinda looks a bit crummy (The text just seems to have some noise issues, it's a bit TOO sharp for such a smooth design.)

The new graphics like icons and aura etc are very nice. The thing loads faster for me than ever (when the bugs don't get me) and the layout, although familiar, is new, refreshing and clean. My user experience on Newgrounds has never been nicer.

The only reason I prefer the old way is that it was a little rough around the edges, and I liked the symbolism of that. I always thought of Newgrounds as the best flash site online. I remember my first visit here, with all the violent, dirty, and bizarre flash here I was a bit overwhelmed. I don't recall when I signed up for an account, but it wasn't long after. I looked at Newgrounds as an online paradise for a Metalhead such as I. I mean come on, 98% of the other flash sites out there have really fruity games in comparison.

So yeah I'm a little bummed about the roughness being gone, but I can understand the need to move forward and make everything run smoother with more fluid layouts and a more user-friendly/user-involved system. So A++ on the new design. Can't wait to see it in action when the kinks are worked out.

Tom you guys really delivered. Good job, great redesign, it makes using NG alot easier and it's much easier on the eyes.

I like stuff like how you can find out if you have any new reviews on your submissions. And how I can ban people from posting on my page.
I guess if I'd have to bitch, it's some of the fussiness of the images whining about jpgs and gifs and stuff (I'm a png guy, myself). Not sure why you need a gif for the 46x46 avatar. I mean, doesn't the NG thumbnails convert to gifs anyway?

As for a couple of suggestions, it'd be neat if the inbox bit glowed a lil when you had new PMs.
And outside the redesign, how about a 3D collection, since we've been getting a fair amount of 3D movies (such as The Mascot and the one I recently made)?

I love the new update- espscially the new level icons and the userpages.

Ugh, Everything is good but you said there wouldnt be any more ads...

I guess my least favourite part would be visiting the site yesterday - since almost every page caused my internet to disconnect.

Of course now I don't have that problem. Cool beans.

I think the best part is the front page redesign.

My favourite part is definately the new user pages, I can see a whole load of potential for things like artists posting web comics, and the extra level of exposure it'll bring to everyone is great :D

My two least favourite parts are:
-The proximity of the 'add to favourites' link to the play game/watch movie link. Me and my clumsy mouse have made a few mistakes there already

-The page detailing the top 20 submissions for each review score catagory is gone! I need to find a list of what are considered the best movies graphically on NG, but now there's nothing :(

Overall, an amazing job, and for a site so full of curious users, it went off without any major issues, which is awesome. Yay NG staff!

I love the new lvl icons. I don't like the new movie viewing system, it's good you can click pop-up though.
