Well I'd say my favorite part is the customizable pages, or the new audio portal. It's such a vast improvement to the old one, and I never used to visit it, but now it's up to date and as trendy as the rest of the site. Nice work!

Least favorite...Hmm It's a bit early on for me to start criticizing, can't really think of anything too bad.

Good job!

Could you set favourite artists before? I can't remember. Anyway, you certainly couldn't set favourite tracks so at least I got that right.

I also have a question regarding the blog/news posts. Are they specifically for Flash artists or for anyone?

I've noticed trying to go to the Xth page of the general forum, the link goes to www.newgrounds.com/X--a 404 page, rather than the Xth page of the forum.

My favorite part is the new level icons and how easy it is to differenciate between users and admins.
I also like the custom header on the userpages. Though, it would be good if you made it allow for a .swf to be loaded there. Another thing I like is the image sizes that can be uploaded, can be taller and wider for everywhere instead of just in the art forum. I also like how much AJAX lilJim has used, it gives all the pages so much more interaction. Like on the lit page, isntead of just going straight to the place you want when you click it, it scrolls there for you. It's the little things that count.

But my favorite thing is the staff page. Great work on that, absolutely beautiful.

I agree, I'm glad for everything this site's been through as of the redesign, but tank_sm was a God.

Don't forget the_meaning_of_life.gif
I fear Newgrounds will be lacking without deep meanings and pixelated tanks.

The whole site smell Attitude now, wich I belive will be the future most important feature of the redesign. I get the feeling that the redesign have opened up for loads of cool things to come, both serious features and easter-eggs and other temporary fun things that will bring up the interest for the site.

Keep working with it like this, and keep holding our interest up with these things, and NG can only go in one direction!

Also, even though I love the way the AP looks right now, it still feels like it's not enough. Like you say, bugs need to be sorted out, but I do miss the fact that no experience or no "real gain" can be gained on this part of the site.
I guess the most easy thing to add would be a trophee award for top weekly top five, but right now, there aren't even top five, rather the five best songs. Also, A-Bot only play the "top" of these five subs, a "next" button would kick ass.

While I'm at it, a stream-button on the NG frontpage for the featured audio would kick ass too.

All in all I'm very excited over the whole site, and really inspired to make music too. So as far as I'm concerned, redesign mission is a hughe success!

In terms of favorites, I'd have to go with the staff's page. The new levels follow by a close second.

But least favorite, well, there's only one thing that really bothers me. You know in the earlier layouts, and you went to vote on a submission, and it would make that amusing *beep* noise? So now what happens when I go to vote now? Nothing. Cold silence. What am I supposed to do to be amused while I'm going around, voting on submissions? Listen to the eerie silence, knowing that I'll never hear that sound again? For shame, Tom. FOR SHAAAAAAAAAME.

Other than that, everything else is going great.

also my voting power has gone down

Your experience gave you a voting power of 5.73 votes. Your blam and protection points gave you an additional 14% of your experience power, meaning that your total vote power was worth 6.54 votes!

I used to have a power of 7.44 votes which was 8. something with b/p points.

This voting power makes more sense now, but I just wanted to say incase it's a bug

Also, the one i forgot

I hate how you guys had to disable Front Page News posts because of faggots, is there any way that we can simply have a mod/admin OR A GROUP OF SOME ADMINISTRATIVE SOURCE, just like, review them, check the links and the text to see if it's all good and can be front page posted, because i wanted to post mine on it, but it was shut down before i could

I also have to say the new user pages are great. It's a whole lot easier to look through an author's submissions now and the latest news sections seem to invite a lot of people to look at your user page.

I'm not sure, but have you taken away the Batting Average scores? I can't find mine anywhere. It's no problem to me, but I just thought on behalf of the flash forum which has the B.A. 3.0+ requirement to create a collab.

Overall it' really amazing. I love bytesize, but it would be nice to have a volume button for the sound. Also the forums are great, I was afraid of a big change to them but they are lookin good :)

One final thing, I went to check the AS: Main post in the flash forum but the pages after page 1 didn't come up. Maybe it's just because it's an older post so you're uploading all that information later, but I thought I'd just say anyway.

This changed

Voting Power
Q: How is Voting Power determined?
A: Voting Power is based on a user's Rank, Blam and Protection points, Whistle level, and the number of reviews written. Take a look at the respective sections to see how voting power is affected by each.

The whole formula has changed.

Favorite parts: The new profile pages look awesome. And it´s cool that you can actually post news about yourself on the frontpage. Also, I really love the new frontpage with the backgroundmusic and that bytesize player (or whatever it´s called)

Least favorite parts: The new bp badges. The old ones looked better in my opinion. And you can´t see which UJ entries you´ve already seen. I don´t know if this is a glitch or was done on purpose, but it´s quite annoying :/

But apart from the bp badges, the whole redesign is awesome.

Pros:
The new userpages is the best thing of course.
Also I like the new design. Gives Internet a whole new feel. (NG is internet...)
Cons:
I actually liked the old "Flash Portal", "Audio Portal" etc. buttons on the top more than these. :P

BTW, the portal is way more fast right now that yesterday, maybe because there's not much people right now, but what do i know..

Redesign FTW!

my favorite thing has to be the levels, its just more fun to level up more often. Also the html AIDS are much more functional as well as good looking, in that you can highlight some text and it knows you want to make that into a link etc

Theres some things that could have been left the way they where, such as the score based texture behind portal entries and most of the private messaging layout, but eh, people might not like the idea of recycled images

I also started a thread for people to list bugs they have come across, might want to check that out ;)

Overall great job :D

When you go through someone's post history and click on the link to the thread wherein the post has been made, you get to the first page of that thread instead of the page where the comment has been made.

Also, fix yout portal. Pink is for fannies! ':)

well Tom, i like the majority of it. whats best about the redesign is the alphas section, so i can keep an eye on my fave artists for new subs :) ...as for the least favorite, my only beef with the redesign is it is hard to reach the View All Movie/Games Database. if you're still ironing things out, could you make the database easier to access? do that and i will have 100% approval of the redesign, im sure there are some who agree with me on that...

I love it all really but my favourite part is the userpage... I also love how you've made the Audio Portal to look like an important part of Newgrounds... the least favourite part... well:

A mistake I just discovered in the new system when I went to deposit exp:

"Thanks for voting, ShortMonkey! Your experience has been automatically deposited!

With that vote, you now have 3,730 experience points. You need 4,010 more to get to Level 20. The next Grounds Gold day begins in 22 hours, 26 minutes, and 56 seconds.

The more experience points you have, combined with BLAM and PROTECTION points, the more your vote is worth!"

Obviously, it should at least have told me how many more points I needed or worded it a little better i.e "You need to gain 4,010 in total to get to Level 20".

You might have fixed that already though and the text in the text field has trouble keeping up with my typing.
