Im every day on NG playing games,watching videos and going to the forum.
I wanna be a forum MOD to stop the stupid PORN stuff and other things and normally im mostly on the forums.

Review mod

I try to help newgrounders who are new to flash out by my reviews. Which is why I Believe it is best to not spam, flame, or just plainly post an unhelpful review.

People, stop discriminating against the newer users for asking to be a mod. This thread isn't specifically asking, "Do you want to be a mod?" it's asking, "What times are you available?"

Look at some like above that state lines like "MAKE ME MOD" and are saying they are NOT to be targeted?

I dunno, maybe. Not happening anyway which is probably good, but if i was to be a Mod id like to be a review mod...I think my reviews arent half bad.

It's not really how you review, but wha tgoes into your reviews, and if you are able to see this in other reviews. As it is being able to cypher between good and bad reviews as people (idiots) flag both.

My first choice of moderator would be forum moderator my second choice would be review moderator.

The times i will be on are, most of the weekend and about 2 hours every weeknight.

I give you respect, even though I know there are many (I think the majority) of users who don't want modship as they come here just for the fun, it is good to see someone admit it.

bloody hell am i the only damn person who read this post?! seriously, most of the stuff after my little "application" are shitty one sentence posts with no info other than "ZOMG I WANT BE MOD!!!!!111".

To add to my last post in the last page... I noticed a blatant lack of active Moderators on the Forum recently... I don't know what's up with this, but there's a LOT of threads requiring to get locked that just get lose... I'd like to take RIGHT NOW as an example.

I believe the General section of the BBS always requires at least one Moderator to watch over it... one hundred percent of the time; and it's not the case, recently.

I believe we're going to see some new Moderators soon, and I hope that post I've made in this thread won't be ignored ;)

Just my two cents... I don't really know what's going on, but I DO see a little lack of Moderating recently... :(

I usually go on here at around night time and I do follow the rules a lot.

A forum mod, much like the ones that keep the forum in check. I can't stand seeing so many pointless posts/topics that are just a waste of space. Zerok may be a hardass when it comes to stuff like that, but he does do the job right, and I'd like to be like him.

But as of right now, my age would probably play as a joke to other forum visitors because I'm so young. So as of right now, I'm fine with not being one. But maybe when I'm older, I'd like to keep the new ones coming onto the forum in check.

Bah, he's not going to make any of us a mod, fellas. My hopes have been picked up and dashed to pieces. He never said he was going to, in all fairness, but it never hurts to dream.

Well i think i would make a good review mod.

I love looking at reviews and it pisses me off to see bad reviews like "omg this shit sucks BLAM".

I am on newgrounds EVERY single day unless i have something REALLY important.

I am on from 6:00am - 7:00am in the morning. And 3pm to 9-10pm at night.

On weekends i am on like...over 14-16 hours a day unless i go somewhere.

I'd love being a forum mod, for either the Art Forums or Programming Forums. I'm on the NG BBS for most (like 14 hours) of the day, every day. The forum that desperately needs moderation is the art forum, with MS Paint garbage popping up every 30 seconds.

Well, this is a very interesting question, Wade. I guess this would be my favorite order:

1) Review Moderator - I would like to be a review mod most of all because I spend most of my valuable time here on newgrounds reviewing, and I have a pretty nice whistle level to bat. And to add to that I am most familiar with reviewing than anything, I know the rules of reviewing front to back.

2) Forum Moderator - I guess I would like to be a forum mod second because if I'm not looking out for bad reviews, I'm lurking around the BBS and posting. And it also irritates me a lot to see stupid threads that you see over and over and not being able to do anything to get rid of it other than contacting a mod.

Well, those two are the only to moderation positions that I admit I would actually be use to and good at, I hope this helps.

I would want to be a forum mod, i've been here since 2006, and I frequently use the angry face on my posts, i think thats enough to qualify for modship.

1. Forum Moderator- This is my choice, and this is also probably the most common response you'll be getting from the community. This is, after all, the BBS.

2. Review Moderator- I've seen plenty of spammy reviews, I want to get rid of those, and stop the trend of

Even though I'd probably not be up to the job at all, the prospects of being a forum moderator would be alright, since I hate it when I see people constantly breaking rules when there's little or no moderators online. Usually I can just drop an online mod a quick PM to notify them of it, but that takes far longer than getting it off with a click of a button. I am most active on weekends, usually around mid-day to seven or eight PM (GMT), though the times that I am online can really vary. Although I have a terrible whistle, it is highly likely due to a user of whom left over 100 borderline reviews that I flagged. For that reason, the type of modship that I would like to receive second would be review modship. After this is Audio Modship then icon. None of these are likely to happen anytime in the next four or five years, and the only one that may happen one day is on the forums, and even that is highly unlikely, due to there being a lot of other more able candidates for the position right now, and due to the fact that the site expanding at a very high rate, there will be even more other users that could receive the title at that time.

Anyone that is willing to actually be an audio mod, I support.

1: Forum mod. I spend most of my time on the general forum, where most of the misbehaving occurs. I think I have pretty good judgement.

2: Review mod. I enjoy critiqing flashes and vote on whether I think a review is useless, helpful or just plain mean. Again, I would like to say that I have good judgement.

The only problem is that I couldn't do it every day. Just a few days a week. The same with weekends.

I'm not begging to be a mod. It would just make me feel proud if I was. And I could do more to help Newgrounds.

If I was to ever be a Mod, I would have to say Forum Mod. I spend at least 4 Hours on NG a day, mostly after 5:00pm (CST). I am also on during the day off and on if I am not busy at work.
I am a Super in the Construction Field, I am good at staying on top of things until they are finished completely and I also have a very structured set of rules I follow in my Work on how to handle People and Situations that I encounter. I am very diligent about everything I get involved in.

I like the BBS, and if I ever got the Chance to help out a Bit I would be very happy to do so.
